I had Appliance Repair Guys install a dishwasher - it is not mounted properly, it leaks on the floor and to come back and fix it I was told I would need to pay for a service call upfront. Terrible customer service and terrible installation services

I have been getting my washer & dryer serviced from Appliance Repair Guys since 2013. This year while getting the service done there was a problem with the drum it would smell after almost every wash cycle. The part was replaced and the smell still continued after filling out a warranty form for the replaced part the technician advices to run a bleach cycle to clean it out. A free doing this multiple times the problem still persists I sent an email on 3rd April 2017 no action has been taken. I keep getting a reply to my email saying the technician will call me. No one has called. I called today the customer service lady said she will have someone call me back.
After being a repeat customer the after sales service is horrible.

My ice-maker stopped working on our KitchenAid fridge and I called this firm. They told me it's a $280 charge up-front just for the repairman to show up which is credited to your bill if you choose to proceed. The repairman called me back as I was at work and said it was a new control board I needed that would cost about $800. I replied I could buy a new fridge for $2000 and he said "but yours is a very good model and if we fix it it should last much longer". He told me that the first charge on my credit card would be for half of the total bill (I thought about $400). When I got home and saw the bill it was for $1,376. I called to cancel the work and paid the $280 fee. I see from other reviewers that they have been treated to the same story... Stay away from this firm.

This company is the worst.I contacted them about
my refridgerator that was not cooling properly.
I was given a price of $80 to come out and no additional charges unless parts are needed to correct the problem.The technician came out and détermined that it was ice that was blocking the air hole and he used steam to unblock it he then charged me $320 which i paid.He told us to wait 24 hours for the fridge to cool and if it didnt i will have to replace the fan motor which he says i could order from his company for $382. I thought that price was absurd for a fan motor so i bought the motor from Maytag for $172 a $200 plus difference. When i contacted Appliance Guys to install the fan which they told me i would not have to pay again because i already paid for service they went back on their word because i did not purchase the fan motor from them! They told me to have them install it it would cost me $80 plus $30 for every 10 mins the technician is in my house,the cutomer service reps were rude and refused to budge on their price,the only compensation they could offer is if i returned the motor to where i bought it and they would discount me one from them...10%! I would most definitely not recommend this company to anyone.

This company is not reliable at all. They deceive clients. I had a problem with the electrical stove. When I was making an appointment with them over the phone I was told that the electrician would come and inspect the issue, will provide the reason why the stove doesn't work and the quote to how much it would cost to resolve the issue. These services cost $80 plus tax. I thought it is reasonable and made an appointment.

But when the guy came he said that there is the problem with the electrical part, and that's what cost $80 dollars. I knew that in the beginning. He didn't do anything and he tried to get more money from me.

He said he would need to open the stove for $280 plus tax and would be able to resolve the issue for this amount of money. I agreed. When he opened and found the reason why the stove doesn't work, which I thought would cost $80 dollars, he charged me $280 plus tax, even though he didn't provide me with the quotation. He said he didn't know how much extra I would need to pay. He left me a message later on my phone that I would need to pay $423.70 extra and he would be able to fix the stove. This is absolute deception.

I tried to call the company and explain what happened, explained that he spent 30-40 minutes for the service which I was told would cost $80 dollars and asked them to credit my visa back. They didn't want to hear me.

I would never recommend this company because their goal is to deceive a client not to resolve their problems.

The used/refurbished stove of this class costs $220-250 and you don't need to pay anything extra.

NEVER EVER use this company. They are complete garbage! The tech fully told me they usually know what the issue/parts needed are by just the description of the issues BUT they charge an abundance because they're greedy. One he described the part I needed (quoted me about $800) I called a few parts places and the part averaged $150!!!! Ridiculous. They have the worst staff to deal with too. Save yourself the headache!

Guy showed up, said he needed to fix the door lock and may need to order a new one. Spent 30 mins literally looking at the machine. Charged me $300, said he would call me the next day with the cost of the new part. Never called and despite my calling daily for a week. They were not able to source the part. The machine is still broken, and I'm out $300. Terrible technician, worse customer service.

These guys are unprofessional. They charge $80 for gas and their time just to come over and for looking at your appliance they'll come up with another amount. They diagnose the wrong problem and price u on it and once u agree give you a price same as a new appliance.
Would not recommend or call these unprofessional money hungry people.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!! Told me my issue was the locking mechanism, which cost $317.50. It was ordered, installed and the problem still exists. Now they have been keeping me on HOLD. Will NOT help me! I could have purchased a new washer for the money I paid to fix this 3 yr old washer.

Worst company to deal with. No official quote. Only a time estimate. They then bill you for 280$ for doing nothing. Tech left the stove with the display panel on both sides damaged. Do not deal with this company. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and have sought legal advice.
