Avtar, the owner, is extremely talented. He had the ability to understand what we were looking for and gave us options accordingly. He inserted his expertise where needed and designed a beautiful yet functional kitchen for us. He seamlessly carried out our vision throughout 2 kitchens, all the bedroom ensuites, laundry and bar areas. The team was extremely efficient and professional. Everything was completed beyond our expectations. We will always use Magnum Kitchens wherever we can moving forward. Thanks again.

It’s been almost a year since our kitchen renovation. We are still in awe of the transformation. This is a long overdue testimonial!
Overall, the project went great. Magnum was an integral partner in our large project of kitchen/ family room/ powder room and hallway make-over. We loved the service from day one of walking into the show room and meeting Avtar. Was it too good to be true? No. We received genuine service, professional advice and sound guidance as we had to make numerous decisions during the entire project. The first step of taking measurements in the house was no-pressure and resulted in a reliable drawing, accurate measurements and realistic designs. The experience of going to stone companies to choose “our granite slab” was amazing. It was also a positive experience as they worked well with the Magnum team.

Like any project, there were some redos/ repairs required in some cabinets and communication and timelines were at times not as optimal as anticipated. The counter installed caused some stress and remedies were implemented. The Magnum team responded and fixed the flaws as best as possible. We managed our expectations too. By mid March, our kitchen felt more complete! In spite of these issues we would still hire and refer Magnum again and those issues didn't taint our overall experience (felt more serious at the time). With all that could have gone wrong...it all worked out and we love the results! That is why we rate them 10/10.

It was the easiest renovation that we had done and without any stress. The installers Joban and Komal arrived the day and time scheduled and did an excellent job. I have and will continue to refer this business to my friends and family. Also, we sold our home within 2 weeks of the installed kitchen :)

It’s hard to do justice to what an amazing company Magnum is to work with! This is a detailed review because I feel like prospective clients should be informed about what makes Magnum awesome, but if you want the short & sweet of it: their professionalism, service and quality of work is a cut above. Hire them NOW, thank me later! :)

The long cut:

My partner and I bought a fixer-upper that required renovating, well, everything. Being overly ambitious as we were, we invited kitchen companies to quote near the start of our renovations. From the beginning, we were impressed by Parry and Avtar’s professionalism, responsiveness and diligence in providing us with the information we needed.

They also took the time to understand the vision we had for our kitchen and then used their expertise and insight to make it even better. For example, we wanted keep the range and, by extension, the range hood on an interior wall. A number of other companies were quick to tell us that because of this, we couldn’t have the range hood vent outside because it was not on an exterior wall and that the only way to do this was to move the range to an exterior wall. Magnum was the only company that took the time to really study our house, the layout and specs, and let us know that venting to the outside was possible if we ran the vent parallel to the floor joists above to the exterior wall.

It’s this level of attention to detail that not only reinforced our confidence in the quality of work that Magnum would ultimately do, but also gave us the assurance that the quote they provided us was accurate and the project would stay within budget.

Because of the extensiveness of our renovations and unanticipated delays, we ended up not only having to push our kitchen timelines out several times but also had to revise the kitchen specs along the way due to changing site conditions. Throughout this process, Parry & Avtar were patient, accommodating and continued to ensure exchange of information as needed whether it was with us or our other contractors.

The installers (unfortunately, I forget their names at this point) were diligent and careful not only with the kitchen but also the rest of our newly renovated home. They kept things tidy and clean, and made sure any dust/debris-creating work was done outside.

As for the kitchen itself, we couldn’t be happier! Again, Magnum really understood our vision and executed the best version of it. Not only have our family and friends been marvelling at the quality of it, but other contractors have too! And it’s important to note that in addition to beautiful cabinetry, Magnum uses top quality finishes, including knobs/handles, countertops… everything AND the kitchen sink! (hehe)

Beyond this, what makes Magnum absolutely outstanding is that Avtar & Parry are some of the most honest and sincere people you could ever deal with. Do NOT undervalue these traits. The home renovations industry is unfortunately rife with people who are out to hustle, upsell and make the most $ off of homeowners as possible. Magnum is not like that at all – they provided honest, genuine and thoughtful advice and feedback while creating our dream kitchen.

(Also, a random – but important, in my view – observation. You can really tell that Avtar (the owner/founder of Magnum) loves what he does. Like he really, really enjoys creating people’s dream kitchens, and his pride and passion filter down through the company. Don’t undervalue these traits either!)

Magnum is one of very few companies I would recommend without hesitation. My only regrets are that (i) I didn’t write this review sooner, and (ii) Homestars doesn’t have a 10000/10 feature that you can give out to extraordinary contractors because Magnum totally deserves it.

My little kitchen was old, awkward and unpleasant to be in with its tiny sink, old fashion cupboards and poor layout. On a friend's recommendation I contacted Magnum for rescue. Avtar Tiwana, the owner, assessed and made recommendations. I resisted certain changes, but with patience he slowly converted me to 'the better way'. The people who did the work were competent and efficient. I had a budget to work with and Avtar worked with that and came in at exactly what he quoted. In the end I have a super kitchen. So thanks to Magnum Kitchens.

Excellent customer service, very professional when dealing with customer. We are very happy with our kitchen, it looks beautiful and it’s exactly what we envisioned. We hope they will continue their good work for years to come!!

We are truly pleased with the craftmanship provided by Magnum kitchen. We are given many good suggestions and design ideas by mr. avatar which has helped us to have us a kitchen of our dream. Pricing is competitive and reasonable. Excellent communications from mr. avatar on each details. Deadlines are met and installations are done by highly professional installer. Overall we are truly pleased with the kitchen built for us by Magnum kitchen.

A late review but better late than never.
