Terrible after sale support!

Stuck with Ply Gem windows as choose by my contractors. They showed up to mount the hardware after the house was finished. Dented a shutter. But, super rude employees. Was to get a phone call back from the manger in Edmonton in 48 hours and have yet to hear from anyone. Very frustrating experience with these people. GO TO ANOTHER SUPPLIER,

New Home

Windows delivered were not correct as per order. Still waiting for correct windows. One was cracked when it arrived, which can happen I suppose. Hopefully the replacement for that one will arrive with the others.
We ordered beige vinyl which was very disappointing!! The beige is a definite GREEN tint! I was so disgusted! Now need to find window coverings that will hide our green windows!

Triple pane glazed windows with sliders

Purchased 3 windows and one door. The windows are triple glazed and have sliders. During a cold spell noticed a significant draft from one window. The draft comes in from the sides of the slider and also from the bottom of the window. Mentioned this to the service person when he was here trying to fix the window on the door; was told 'this happens when the wind blows from a certain direction as wind comes in through the drain holes at the bottom. Really??? What good is the triple pane if the window is designed to allow drafts depending on the wind direction? Walk to the next dealer - don't bother with these. When you call for more than one fix, they start looking for things they can blame on you.

Metal clad wood windows

The wood window frame arrive dented, dealer started filling dents. Opening windows cracked, screens dented. Upper window leaks, and makes cracking sound. Finishing trim poor.
Fellow tried to rebuild inside frame insight. Windows look like a wood pecker was at it.
Rep came, never heard back
I am sending them back and want a refund

Warranty Work on Windows

We own a home with Ply Gem Windows. The wooden windows are 4 years old and several of the open/close laches have failed resulting in a poor seal. This is due to an inferior design of the windows, which only has 1 latch at the bottom.

Ply Gem does not stand behind their warranty, they have poor customer service, it took 2 months to schedule a window repair, they did not show up on the date they confirmed, and their workmanship is dismal .

If you are looking for great windows that are free of drafts, open and close seamlessly while dealing with courteous and professional staff...then DO NOT CALL...Ply Gem Windows.

New Home Construction

In June 2013 we took possession of our new home built by Parkhaven Designs. The windows were installed by Ply Gem and in January 2015, they still haven't addressed a major deficiency despite committing to do so upon realization of their oversight. The weather sealant was not installed on two patio doors which allows for air to enter the house so in the winter, it's a major issue. We have also had issues with 3 of the windows not closing properly (crank system). Their product may be to standard, but their service is not in our experience.

Windows & Doors

After our initial builder (Dave Ridder of Kingsbridge Developments) went bankrupt halfway through our new home construction, we hired a second builder to complete the interior. The second builder stated that they were not responsible for anything to do with the windows and doors as they had not installed them, so our screens were not delivered, and the window inspection not performed.
After calling Ply Gem and explaining our situation, they not only delivered our screens, but also adjusted every door and window that needed attention. This was a great relief after all we had been through. And as an added bonus, they recommended their personal painter to us to properly stain our expensive front door!
Many thanks to Dan Mount and Rick Manalili of Ply Gem!
