I am the first to admit that I am very picky person. I am also pleased to report ( and support) gtalawn. I enjoyed a first-rate experience. The entire team from start to finish were complete professionals...reliable, efficient...knowledgeable...friendly. I like the fact that people now stop or slow down when passing my home to admire the lawn...money well spent!

After years of struggling with weeds and bare patches on my lawn, I hired this company to re-sod my front and backyard. They did NOT remove the old sod but merely weed-wacked what was there and laid the sod over. My new grass looked great for one season and then completely died the next year. After doing some research, I now learn that you can not expect new sod to grow over old weeds and old sod. The company does not stand behind its work...and now I am re-seeding the ENTIRE lawn because it is in worse shape than when I started. Would never recommend this company. Find someone else to re-sod your lawn. Money spent with GTA is money thrown away.

A friend recommended GTALawn as they'd laid her turf, so I also got a quote from them. My lawn although smaller than my friends, cost exactly the same as hers, which was the first warning sign.
The guys came to lay the sod, but didn't bother to level the soil first. They also gave sod-all help or advice on what to do about raccoons peeling back the turf rolls.

The grass itself is of reasonable quality, but after 1 winter it's now as uneven as Rob Ford's track record in office; with more holes than a Swiss cheese. I really can't recommend this crew.

highly recommend this company - again these days you do not get this service. I have called many many many companies to at least get a quote and NO ONE calls you back!!! this company did and through follow-up unti the end of the job.

We paid GTALawn to come and de-weed our entire front lawn and re-sod it. When they came to spray to kill the weeds, they only did a small section. My wife notified them, but they did not fix it. The weeds started growing back a month after new sod was laid. We notified them again and they did nothing. Now our lawn looks worse than it did before we paid them to fix it. We tried contacting them again to rectify the situation, but they deflected blame (even though we have proof of them admitting it was not done correctly) and now they ignore our complaints. Very unprofessional company.

Last October I contacted the owner of GTA Lawn (Bob) to install 747 square ft. of new sod in the center of our front lawn. GTA Lawn were hired to LEVEL the ground (prep) and install the fresh sod (from Brouwer Sod Farms). The surrounding grass was weed free, thick and healthy. However after the install, the new sod appeared as a pregnant mound. GTA Lawn were contacted, and advised me the fresh sod would settle over the late fall and winter. The following Spring, GTA Lawn was contacted as the sod had not "settled". GTA Lawn sent two rep's, who suggested the problem was with frost and the lawn would settle in the warmer weather. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I reached out to Bob, the owner of GTA Lawn, who replied: "No I am sorry I cannot come out"...... "Our guarantee is that the sod we use is cut the morning of installation". The sod was not the issue: the problem was with the crew's lack of care and diligence - the ground was not properly prepped as requested. We've since hired another company to "fix" GTA Lawn's mess. Disappointing experience.
