Foundation Works

Working in a customer based industry I know how important it is to always make the customer happy. Joel Goyette and his company Foundation Works goes above and beyond for their customer. This past October of 2013 I needed to get my foundation repaired. Their professional and efficient manner is much to be admired. Joel provided the most competitive and reasonable estimate that I had seen. Every aspect was efficiently communicated and gave me a sense of ease dealing with this major concern in my foundation. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Joel and his company.

Just recently had some work done by Foundation Works in Ottawa and I am super impressed. Some contractors said they'd block off my back door so we didn't fall in his dig area but Mr Goyette insisted he bridge ALL entrances in case of emergency exit was needed. He thinks of all the details and notices everything. Very much a perfectionist ..., he gave us an estimate for a full dig, waterproofing with new weeping tiles but told us that calling in a flusher truck from a plumbing company may save us an entire dig and replacement of weeping tiles and that if that alternative didn't work he'd absorb the cost and proceed with the dig. He had to dig at 3 corners to allow access for flushing clean the weeping tiles and as a matter of fact it was clogged and they were able to flush it clean and saved us $14,000.00 and charged us only $3,800. For excavation, flushing of weeping tiles, provided us a video inspection of our clean, functioning weeping tiles. We seen the video of the blockage, and all this while we were at work. He was not the cheapest on the full job but defiantly the most honest contractor me and my husband have ever encountered !!! We got back from work and he said he was all done and provided us pictures of what he had done and the video report from the camera inspections of before and after. He had the flusher and camera inspection booked for 1:00pm, was on the job at 7:30 am and was ready and waiting for the 1:00 pm appointment which they were there till 3:15 and he had everything filled and return to original grade by the time me and my husband got home around 6:00pm. There was little evidence he was there and now we hear the sump pump kicking off every hour or so instead of water coming up through cracks in our floor. None of the other 3 estimates we received even suggested such a solution. We will be recommending him and his team very highly. Still can't believe he was willing to absorb the cost if his suggested solution didn't work with camera inspection and flushing of tiles. We were given estimates for full job ranging $16,000.00 to $22,000.00 his came in at $17,800.00 and we ended up with an invoice for $3,800 with no more water problems. Wish every contractor was as honest and caring. We hope this reference comes in handy for others looking for a foundation water problem solution. We are VERY pleased !!
