Metal roof installation in summer 2021.
Their crews were friendly and hardworking. The first crew appeared to have limited knowledge and experience with the product, resulting in faulty installation. The second crew appeared more knowledgeable, but did miss important details.
Remember Me Roofing installers and project manager did not fully follow manufacturer installation instructions. Sections of the installed roof sheathing (roof deck) as well as vent duct installation does not meet Ontario Building Code requirements upon completion.
Two separate roof leaks with interior damage to the attic, upper level and lower level occurred during installation. The project manager and owner offered to have their delivery person repair the damaged drywall (without testing for moisture or mildew in wall framing or attic insulation). The company did not accept to directly cover cost of interior repairs by a company specializing in water damage nor to compensate owner for the interior damages.
Issues/concerns brought to the attention of the project manager and the company owner during installation were generally initially dismissed/minimized only to be later acknowledged as issues, often when too late in the installation process to be fully corrected. Although concerns were shared regarding the work completed by the crew and project manager, the company owner refused to meet and come on site.
Final invoice was presented prior to full completion of the work and I was asked to pay prior to the contract being fulfilled.
Despite being very pleased with the actual product installed, the metal is scratched in multiple areas and I’m left with some things to fix and interior damages.
