I am the original owner of a two bed/two bathroom condo. The building is approximately 25 years old so you can imagine that the textured ceiling had faded out from white to a ceiling with a yellowy tinge. Also, the crown mouldings were original paint. I had heard horror stories about getting textured ceilings painted, things like the texture coming off, and needing many more coats of paint due to the age and dryness of the ceilings. Casey/Reflections was recommended to me by a friend who works in the trades and had seen Casey's work. I am SO thankful our paths crossed! Casey came over and took a good look at our ceilings and crown moulding and quoted a very fair price which included patching up and sanding the crown moulding where it had cracked due to its age and building movement. It did end up taking two coats (instead of one coat which was originally thought) but the added cost was minimal because everything had already been set up. My fear of the ceiling coming off and multiple coats of paint completely disappeared after the first coat. Casey explained why such a thing could happen (low paint quality, not putting enough paint on the roller, using a roller that is too small, and pushing against the ceiling as opposed to rolling). I loved that he explained every step so that I would understand what was going on. Casey was meticulous and professional and covered all of our walls and counter tops perfectly with poly sheets so as to not get ceiling paint anywhere, other than the ceiling! His paint job was perfection! No roller lines on the ceilings at all! It looks clean and bright! Ceiling and crown mouldings look better than their original state! We are thrilled with his work and have now hired him to also paint the whole condo, including the doors and base boards. With his expertise, he is helping with the choice of colours as well, to make the condo look bigger, brighter, and updated. Thank you Casey!
