Because of the amazing reviews on Homestars, I requested that Homepro come and take a look at some outlets in my newly acquired home as they were flagged as ungrounded during my home inspection. 1 hour into the visit and $256 dollars later (Service Fee plus Diagnostic Fee) I was told that they could do the work for another $1400. It felt iffy so I said I'd get back to him and then I found a local (and recommended from a solid GC) who would cost me $580 for the same work. He came by, spent 30 minutes re diagnosing and didn't charge me anything.

I feel with things like electric work, with all the unknowns, people can start spending money at an alarming rate. I think the lowest possible price should be on your quote and that charging a service fee PLUS a diagnostic fee is simply unfair. I was reminded by the tech as he was leaving that he could've charged me more. I wasn't sure what would've justified a higher cost but I bit my tongue and did some homework. I just wish I would've done it before calling them out.

Anybody who has bought an old home knows that the improvement costs add up quickly and I think the difference between a money pit and a good investment is largely related to the companies in which you choose to do business with. Choose wisely and always do your homework.

Professional attitude. Quality work done quickly and neatly. Friendly attitude with knowledge and advice on electrical issues in the home. Would recommend to friends and family who are looking to have work done.

I was looking for a good union electrician to do some work at my house, which I am converting into a duplex. The building inspector gave me a list of things I needed to do and one of them was to have all smoke detectors hardwired and interconnected and had to add a couple more detectors to the existing ones. My boss recommended Home-Pro Electric Inc and they figured out a solution to the task to make things easier for everyone and more cost effective to me. The guys showed up immediately after the smoke detectors, which had to be ordered, came in and did the work within a couple of hours. There was no mess what so ever and they also fixed up a few things I didn't get a chance to. Being an electrician myself I know what to look for and I am very impressed at the work done and the way they did it. Brian, the owner was extremely friendly and made this experience very personable. The building inspector was also very impressed and said he doesn't see this kind of tradesmanship often. As for the cost, I was surprised at how inexpensive all this was. And to top it all off; Home-Pro Electric Inc sent us a card and cookies as a thank you for doing business with them. Talk about customer service. Don't see that much. Overall the experience has been unbelievably amazing and I highly recommend this company to anyone.

Big thanks to Home-Pro Electric!! We had a bunch of wiring issues at our house that needed to get done asap. I called them up and Brian sent his guys to our house the next day. Jason and Ted were really pleasant to deal with and had no problems answering questions that I had. Even after the work was done, they took the time to come back to the house to fix one little problem...and thanks to Diane who to was also very helpful ...I highly recommend Home-Pro Electric :)

We have a 40 year old house that needed the outlets and switches rewired due to the original aluminum wiring causing bad connections. Brian was the only company that answered our call in a timely fashion and gave us a reasonable quote with a reasonable timeframe to do the work. Brian and Jason came out together and completed the work in a clean, thorough and effective manor. They asked us for input on decisions that could save us money or our choice of aesthetics. I couldn't be happier and would recommend them to any of my friends/family. The final bill was close to thier quote, which is also all we could ask.

I had caused a outlet to spark and called homepro and when they came, Brian was very polite and kind, he had the problem fiqured out and fixed in no time and he cleaned up afterwards even though I told him I could do it.thanks

My husband and I have been in our house approx 7 years, earlier this year we bought a new washer and dryer. After about a month we started to blow fuses with the dryer. After we had another company in to look at the electrical they said it was the dryer causing the issue. We then had the dryer repair person come and look, he did an in depth analysis and deemed the dryer 100% ok. Next we contacted the previous company again with the new information and got no response.

Now we contacted Home-Pro Electric, over the phone Brian and my husband seemed to know exactly why the problem was. The next day Brian came over and gave us two solutions to our problem. Once we decided how we wanted to move forward he has two of his team back that afternoon to do the work. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and knowledgeable. The work was done promptly and they made sure the dryer now worked. I was able to use the dryer all weekend with no issues and received a follow up call on the Monday to make sure we were satisfied with the work that was done.

Couldn't ask for a better company to deal with, any electrical work we ever need done they will be the first call we make.

Brian was great! From the moment we called he seemed to genuienly care and want to help. He came out on a saturday and was so kind and professional. We even called for a silly question after and he was super helpful!
