Calgary Custom Furnace

We were the victims of fraud in our dealings with this company. When we first called her, Diane claimed to be an authorized Carrier rep; she is not. Instead of fixing our existing a/c unit, she replaced it with new equipment and told us that this was covered under the terms of our warranty; it was not covered and we had to pay for the equipment. When we tried to register the new evap coil serial number with Carrier for warranty purposes and found we couldn't, she claimed she had already done so. We subsequently found out that the coil wasn't made by Carrier, meaning we have no warranty at all. The equipment she sold us failed less than 1 year later, and of course she refuses to accept any responsibility.

Peter and Zeke were punctual and very friendly. As another poster noted, there was still some dirt in the vents and debris around the vents after they finished. They offered to vacuum around the vents when I pointed it out, but I just did it myself. Also as noted by another poster, I was quite surprised when I was charged extra for an electric filter when I had been quoted a price for a "furnace cleaning". You would think if there was an extra charge for an electric filter they would ask if you have one when you book the service. The real problem, however, was that they did not bring a long enough vacuum hose even though I specifically spoke to Diane about the need for a long hose when I booked the service. Because the hose was not long enough they drove off our driveway and onto our property without consulting me. In doing so, they drove over our septic tank cover and broke it. My husband was able to fix it, but when I called the owner, Diane, she refused to apologize and insisted it was not their fault. She said that their truck is difficult to maneuver and that in the winter they drive over things like "trees and bikes" all the time. She refused to offer any compensation or discount for the damage to our property. I would never hire this company again.

Cleaned, serviced and replaced motor on furnace. They reviewed everything with me, gave me some choices and did the tasks that I instructed them to do. Peter and Zeek were very polite and courteous. I was happy with their work. My furnace is now very quiet and working very well. I can feel the forced air circulating through the house now. When I called there was little to no circulation.

Calgary Custom Furnace did excellent job cleaning furnace. The only thing I would suggest, order the cleaning during the warmer days, as they needed the door open to run the hose.

Burner in furnace would not ignite. Called Calgary Custom Furnace and a service man (Peter) was at our home in about 1 hour. He quickly confirmed that the pressure switch needed replacement and he performed this repair very quickly. He was very courteous and professional. He also did a follow-up call about an hour later to make sure that the furnace was operating as it should. It was and I would highly recommend this service person and this company to others.

Had them come in to clean two furnaces, 17 ducts and a fireplace in a house we recently moved into. Workers were pleasant, efficient and courteous. They did a satisfactory job. I inspected the ducts before and after the service and found they got most of the dust and pet fur out. However there was still a few mouse droppings and dust bunnies in the main feeder ducts (which I then vacuumed out myself). There was also a little dust and debris left on the floors and around the ducts. While I received a detailed quote prior to the service I was disappointed to see it jump up by $120 because they discovered we had high efficiency furnaces ($60 additional charge for each). This should have been asked and detailed when I received the initial quote over the phone. We have never had our furnaces cleaned before so we were not sure what to expect. We used a SUTP coupon to save money on this service. We were still a little surprised by the final bill after discounts ($595), but with 2 furnaces it is going to cost around double anyways.

Service and friendliness of technician fixing my humidifier water line, was supurb. The guy was friendly, allowed me to ask questions. Was very efficeint and oftern asked me if this approach to the installation was OK with me.

first of all i would like to say thanks to both technicians that came and clean our furnace they were both professional and very dedicated to their job. peter answered every single question i have and explained me everything i need to know about furnace maintenance from why we need to get our furnace service to how to prevent hassle in the future. i am very greatful i have my furnace service done in calgary custom service, now im confident that we are breathing a nice clean air and not to worry about my kids getting sick. thank you and i will highly reccommend this company to our family and friends.....

I was happy with how quickly we were able to make an appointment, and the friendly service. I was disappointed that a flower pot was broken, and I was not informed of the damage, and that the hot water tank was not turned on and relit after servicing, also some vent covers were not put back on and the furniture was not returned. I was generally happy with the service, but disapppointed with how the property was left. We have used this company in the past and have been happy with the service. This visit did not match the same past standards.
