Green Side Up Contracting built me a fence two years ago. This year I had some planters removed off of the fence line and when I did this there was a gap between the fence and the ground.

I called Jay to ask him if he could help by dropping one section so my dog couldn't get out. With in 48 hours Daniel was at my house and the problem was resolved.

Jay and his team were amazing throughout the whole process. They worked around a lot of issues between mine and my neighbour's pool installs and a bunch of other trades on tight schedules. We needed posts in asap and Jay fit us in. Daniel and the other guys were always polite especially when dealing with difficult neighbour's who were not participating in fence cost. Daniel also stuck around while my pool enclosure inspector came by and tweaked an old gate with hardware to pass inspection. I am very grateful for that as I was indecisive on what kind of gate I wanted. This company is wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed all my conversations with them. Fantastic people and a beautiful fence.

Recently had a fence built and installed by green side up. Our fence was damaged in the windstorm last winter. Because we back on to a ravine and have a pool it was very important to get the job done as quick as possible. Jay and his team came through for me. They were very thorough right from the beginning. Upon starting the job the guys that were here (Corey and Travis) discovered cinder block all around my property. They immediately informed me that they would have to somehow drill/dig through the cinder block. They could have taken the easy way out and not mention anything to me like the last company that built my fence, but they explained that the cinder block started 12 below ground level and went down at least 3 feet. The job took longer than expected but Corey and Travis worked so hard. They are polite, hard working guys that did an amazing job from start to finish. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone. In fact my neighbour is looking to get a new fence and I have already given her the information. I will definitely call them back for future jobs.

We hired Green Side Up to do a fairly large project for us -- interlocked patio in our backyard, a walkway around our house, the driveway, replacing our porch steps and covering the porch with flagstone. Our experience from the moment we met their owner Jay last November to the completion of the project in May was superb and the execution was flawless. 

Jay and Rob listened to our ideas, provided very valuable recommendations and paid attention to every little detail. The project was done on time and on budget and all our questions and concerns (actually very few concerns) were addressed within 1-2 days. 

They were very considerate to the fact that we were working from home during the project so they kept the level of noise to the minimum and even stopped cutting stones during our meetings. They only bring the materials and equipment that they need for each given day and clean the area before going home each day.

But most importantly, not only are they true professionals in what they do but they are also very nice people to work with. So it feels like we made new friends together with getting beautiful landscaping around our house. 

Needless to say we highly recommend Green Side Up for any landscaping needs you may have!

My experience with Green Side Up Contracting has been nothing short of amazing.

After speaking with numerous contractors, I found them on HomeStars given they were very highly rated. While doing some research, my wife also noticed that they completed the backyard of a colleague of hers. Given the comments we read online as well as the great reviews from a personal contact, we knew this was the way to go.

After an initial meeting with Jay at our home, we knew this was the company to go with. He is fantastic, extremely personable and if you are going to be interacting with a team for a few weeks, it makes all the difference. We had contractors who wanted to charge us $1,500 for a design. After mapping everything out in our initial meeting, I asked Jay, so when do we do the official design. He said, what do you mean, we just did it . In addition, we didnt pay anything until the job was complete. Try to find that somewhere else. This is a team that obviously stands behind their work.

Jays partner Rob and the rest of the team started the work earlier than anticipated and did a fantastic job. They coordinated with the other contractors to run the gas line, install the irrigation system, etc. Everything came together beautifully.

Speaking to Rob (and the team) on a daily basis throughout the project was a pleasure. Like most large projects, we ran into some minor challenges but as Rob says, theres no crying in the landscaping business, so these were dealt with swiftly.
