A few years ago, Jay and his team completed extensive landscaping in the front and backyard of our property that was well beyond our expectations.

We were excited when his team sent us an email in fall of 2018 explaining how they were doing basement renovations. We received multiple quotes from other contractors, but none came close to the level of professionalism and competence exhibited by Jay and Zach.

From day one, the team provided expert advice and kept the lines of communication open throughout the process. This was a very large project, but their experience and expertise made it feel effortless.

I have very high expectations when it comes to quality of work, open lines of communication and professionalism. Jay, Zach and Carl exceeded those expectations and I would highly recommend them for any renovation ideas you have.

We will be contacting Green Side Up for future projects in our home as they have proven to be the best out there.

Best contractors I’ve ever hired! I found Green Side Up Contracting here on HomeStars based on their great reviews and I’m so happy I hired them. The owner Jay personally came to my property to do a site assessment and provide a quote. He gave me a quote on the same day (cheaper than the two other companies I approached) and answered all my questions promptly. When the project began he assigned me my own project manager who regularly called me with updates, timing estimates, and made sure I was happy at the end of each workday. Every person on Jay’s team was kind, courteous and went above and beyond, even accommodating my last minute change of plans. They always arrived on time, when they said they would, and left the place tidy when they left. They worked fast, and would give me updates at every step of the way. My assigned project manager came by the day after the work was done to do a final walkthrough with me and make sure I was satisfied, and Jay followed up with a call as well (he even noticed some sawdust left behind in a photo that I didn’t even notice and insisted on coming by personally for one final sweep). I will hire them again whenever I can. My cedar fence is beautiful and I’m looking forward to enjoying it all summer.

Jay and his crew did an amazing job! The front deck they built for us is beautiful, and is the new defining feature for our home. It's like having a new room in the house! Jay and his team were courteous and got the job done when they said they would, working on the weekend to make up for days lost due to inclement weather. Jay also recommended other reputable contractors to do the electrical and soffit work, and not only did they work out well, but Jay coordinated all the work so we didn't have to. Overall we are incredibly happy with Greenside and will definitely be working with them again in the future.

I found Green Side Up via Homestars.com and after reading all the excellent reviews decided to get an online estimate for a fence. The estimate was in my inbox within minutes with most details I expected to be covered. I responded to the email to schedule an at-home quote and that was the beginning of an “EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE & SERVICE”. Jay was on time on a Saturday, gave me a quote which was exactly the same as the online estimate, So, no surprises there. The quote was fairly competitive.
I liked the quick response, communication & timelines.
On the day on the marking, Jay, Grant, Corey and Daniel where onsite at 7AM, again on time and markings were done as required. On the day the posts were to be setup, I made changes to the size of the fence again. Grant and team were so cooperative, understanding and patient went through the marking one more time as per my new plan.
I have had many projects done at my place from different contractors. Daniel and Corey are the best, cheerful, always greeted you with a smile and knew what they were doing. The entire project was done in 2 days.
The fence and gate are strong and well built. The hinges and the hardware used to build the gate are of the best quality. It is TOUGH.

We were absolutely thrilled with our backyard fence, and the entire experience of working with Green Side Up. From the first interaction Jay was responsive, attentive, and informative. He helped us decide on a fence for our backyard and was sensitive to our difficult situation (large dog next door jumped the fence and attacked our puppy). He provided options, a detailed quote, and worked with us to make the quote work within our budget. Once the time came for the job to start, he connected with us ahead of time to confirm, and met with us on the morning of the job starting with his team to walk us through everything. Given that we had already taken down the shorter existing fence, he worked with us to prioritize the job so our little ones could enjoy the backyard safely. The entire fence was done in less than 3 days. There was no hassle, no stress, and no hidden costs. They even arranged for the check of the gas lines to occur prior to our job starting (something other companies asked that we arrange for ourselves). There pricing was very competitive, and the customer service was unbelievable. We felt respected and comfortable the entire time.

It is always a risk dealing with a new company on an important home project, but I can confidently say that we cannot wait to use them again for another project! Would definitely recommend.

Green Side Up is a trustworthy company who were able to accommodate my design choices and built the bathroom as was imagined. CJ is a great guy who you can rely upon to do the job, and Jay is a friendly business owner who appears very genuine and friendly in his interactions.

Met Jay and CJ during their quote assessment, both were very honest and fully answered all questions I had of them, their quote was fairly competitive and I very much appreciated the speed of communication and thoroughness in the lead up to my hiring decision making.

Green Side Up's snow removal work did take precedence over this job, but once the weather cooperated CJ did show up every day until the project completed.

The subcontractor plumber was very proficient at his job, but he added delays to the project timeline due to his oncall for other businesses. Disagreements with the subcontractor required me to waive a shower panel warranty.

All other concerns I had and budgetary changes to the project with Green Side Up were easily discussed with Jay, and we were able to come to fair and reasonable agreements. He makes a clear priority of his client's happiness and throughout the project he asked numerous times if my wife and I were happy.

CJ performed a lot of hard work and showed off daily a significant amount of progress, along with helpful design change suggestions as the project progressed. In the end we have a beautiful shower and would not hesitate to hire them again for future renovation work around my home.

I got the quote from him, and his price was very reasonable. I also had very aggressive schedule demand, but he was also able to accommodate it.
Throughout the project, he was very responsive to my questions and requests. This really helped since we discovered various issues after the project started, including leaking drain from the upstairs.
He could quickly diagnose the problem, and fix this leaking issue related to the project) with a very reasonable cost which I really appreciate.

I would like to say thanks to Green Side Up Contracting. My bathroom originally was falling apart. The base had been cracked and the water pressure was terrible. They changed all this. He added a structure to the base so it will never Fitters crack again. His experience in plumbing as changed the water pressure all while installing a new shower.
