Green Side Up Contracting

We are delighted with the results of our recent project with Green Side Up Contracting Inc. We had an old deck, old front walkway, and asphalt driveway removed, and had a new backyard patio, new front walkway, and new driveway constructed using interlocking pavers. We also had our front porch capped with flagstone.

This company is very professional, and all personnel were very nice to work with, and receptive to owner-initiated design changes that came about along the way regarding this project.

The project was handled in an organized manner, with minimal disruption to us over the course of the project. The work site was always kept clean at the end of each workday, and there was little noise and inconvenience to our neighbours.

The crew paid attention to detail and spent time arranging and rearranging pavers to make things look just right.

Green Side Up Contracting Inc. certainly aims to please their clients, and for us they succeeded. My wife and I have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone looking to have interlocking pavers, or flagstone installed on their property. In fact, we are looking forward to using them regarding our next project in 2022.

My fence was the only project that I didn't have a personal referral for so I was a little worried at first, but Green Side Up will now be a personal referral from me.

Completely professional. They do it right and as a homeowner I didn't have any worries or stress at all.

Completely customer focused. Had to troubleshoot some issues for me but were patient to answer my questions as well as came up with a solution that worked better than I thought.

We are very pleased with our TREX deck and the professional work done by this company. Jay was great at keeping us informed throughout the process. Victor and Richard did a fantastic job removing the old deck and building the new one. They kept the job site neat and organized. The flower boxes were a beautiful addition. Stephen finished off the project with glass panels that enhanced the look. The selection of colours and other innovative suggestions made by the crew created a beautiful oasis. Thanks!

This company was very reliable. They showed up on time and did exactly what I requested. The staff were very professional and very polite. They pointed out issues during construction and made sure I approved of the solution. They were fun to work with...and left a very neat and tidy work site. I would use this company again in a heartbeat!

These people are nice with professional manner. Before the job started, they came several times to discuss every details with our neighborhood. The job they have done was so quick and with higher quality. I recommend them to others definitely.

We recently had our fence completed by Green Side Up. My parent’s place was one of ten homes that had their fence replaced. We began looking for a contractor last year – admittedly, Green Side Up was one of our top choices last year, but not the contractor we initially selected - an outcome when 10 neighbours are voting on the selection.
Circumstances this year led us to contacting Jay at Green Side Up. From the initial meeting and consultation, I felt vey comfortable in proceeding with proceeding with the job. Jay was very professional and took his time to explain everything before, during and after the job was completed. He was diligent in keeping us up to date if there were delays in the start date.

Because I wasn’t onsite everyday, my interaction with Jay’s team was limited. However, the couple of times we did speak the team was very professional and assisted in ‘clarifying’ any misunderstandings that may have occurred during the job.

They say that everything happens for a reason. I'd like to thank the initial contractor for going 'awol'. We got another chance with Green Side Up and result was a great looking, high-quality fence! I’d would highly recommend the Green Side Up team!

I’d like to thank Jay and his amazing crew, Daniel, Travis and Corey as well as Brett who came to lend a hand, for building beautiful, solid fences for me and 12 of my neighbours! Coordinating that many folks was no easy feat, but they handled it like the pros they are.

We used HomeStars (great site), and originally selected another fence contractor in 2020, based purely on a slight difference in cost. Wrong! In my experience, whenever possible, pick quality over cost. You’ll be much better off in the long run. I thought Jay was the better choice then, but majority rules. Well, that contractor didn’t have a steady supply of lumber like Jay and kept pushing the job later and later until it was too late to get it done in 2020. That was a blessing in disguise! In April 2021, I rallied the neighbours, and we called Green Side Up instead. We learned that Jay never stopped building fences all through 2020 because he had a steady supply of lumber, straight from the mill. After a couple of calls and meetings, with Jay answering all of our questions, we were ready to go.

The crew was friendly, accommodating, and the workmanship was outstanding. Except for a little inclement weather, the job stayed on track, and was completed in a timely fashion. Also Green Side Up has a 10 year warranty which is unheard of!

If you want a fence that will stand the test of time, quality workmanship and look gorgeous, Green Side Up Inc is the only contractor you should consider. You will not be disappointed. Now, I’m off to admire my new fence. Stay safe! Connie
