I called Fairbairn Home And Building Inspection to do an inspection of a home I’m looking to purchase. David was very thorough and was able to provide a full profile of the house in an easy to read report. I would highly recommend him.

I had David to inspect my home back in Jan 2016, he was fast to respond, very thorough and gave lots of good tips to maintain the home. As first time home owners, we appreciate all the help!

We had David in to inspect our townhouse and I am so happy that we did! We were present for the whole process (which I am told is not usual) but David was professional and friendly the entire time, answering our questions and letting us poke our heads into the attic with him so we could see what he was looking at. When a few issues were found with our home, he was able to explain how serious they were and put our mind at ease, as well as give us a ball park of how much we could expect them to cost. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone needing a home inspection. Even my crotchety dad, a carpenter of 35 years, trusted David and was singing his praises after our inspection!

David was incredibly thorough in his inspection of the interior and the exterior of the building. He had started his assessment of the exterior even before I got there and his dedication and quality of work far exceeded my expectations. He also took the time to explain the really good, the bad and the ugly from his evaluation and steps to address them , multiple solutions to remedy them and which of these had to be addressed immediately and which could be addressed later. Very knowledgeable but above all a down to earth guy that has your best interests on priority. Would highly recommend him and I also plan to get his advice when I do any interior work. Last but not the least he was very efficient in preparing his report and I got my final report within an hour of the inspection.

David did an excellent inspection on a house for me. Not only was his inspection and report very thorough but he took the time to walk through it step by step with me.
