I called Aleks Movers after days of dealing with online booking estimates, answering machines and out of town booking services without success. Needless to say I was frantic. It was a last minute request (virtually same day) that required the pickup and dropoff of my piano.
I was in disbelief when Aleks simply said to send me the pick up and delivery address and a photo of the piano to confirm our agreement! The fact that he answers every text and phone call promptly is incredibly reassuring. Next morning I received a call to say they were on their way. Aleks & Francesco and their 2 assistants effortlessly and carefully loaded my precious cargo. Within an hour the job was done. They were polite, courteous and professional. Words can not relay how grateful I am for their prompt, friendly service. I am proud to support this hard working local family business. I would definitely recommend and use their services again in the future. Thank you.

Mario and his team came out to move me today. They arrived promptly and worked quickly (with care) to clear out my old place and get me settled into the new one. The move was completed in a couple of hours! I especially appreciated that they took apart our beds and assembled them in the new location and even insisted my couch was fully assembled before they left. As someone who dreads the moving process, I have to say this was the best experience I’ve ever had!

My wife and I used Aleks moving for a recent move in Toronto from a downtown condo into a 4 story townhouse. The move was challenging and the furniture very difficult to get up all the stairs. Aleks executed this perfectly - no damage, done timely, with a few jokes and a smile. There were no suprises with cost and they even brought in additional help to get the job done. I’ve moved across country and to the US on many occasions and never have I received the quality of service or attention to detail that this group brought to the table. A family run business only concerned with sharing value for the money you pay. I would recommend Aleks to any and all for your future moving needs. Overall they are excellent!

The service was good, very fast And felt safe during covid. Quote can be done via pictures to reduce contact. Charged a flat fee and no hidden charges which put me at ease. Moved out and in within a couple hours. a few scuffs on furniture and walls during process. but overall very good and Mario was great :)

We had the best moving experience with this company! They were on time, very polite, very professional and took care with all our belongings. Our move was done quickly and efficiently. All our contents were taken to our new condo, put together and places in the appropriate places with the remaining things taken to our storage locker where they did an excellent job packing everything in there. We would highly recommend them for all your moving needs and look forward to using them again.

A disappointing experience. I booked this company to move from one condo building to another less than 2 km away. The problems started before I booked them -- I tried twice to arrange for a quote on their website, and received no response. I called after a week of waiting and was told that they were "swamped" and so they hadn't gotten back to me. One of the business owners came into my home later that week to give a quote. His mask didn't cover his nose and it frequently slid off his face so that his mouth was exposed while he talked. This might have been a good opportunity to look elsewhere, but I was under time pressure. So I proceeded and gave a deposit. The quote, incidentally, was about double what I paid to move into the place 5 years previously, from 60 km away, with a different company; I don't know how competitive this quote was with others currently operating in the area.

I had to reserve a four-hour elevator booking at each building. They did not show up on time, and when I called the business owner to ask what was up he said he'd look into it, and I didn't hear back from him. About three hours after the scheduled time I got a call from the crew boss saying their truck had broken down and they were getting another one. They showed up 3.5 hours late and immediately took a lunch break; I had meanwhile arranged to extend my elevator time (thankfully nobody else in the building was moving that day). The crew boss walked into the building without putting on a mask, and had to be directly instructed before he did. He asked for full payment before beginning the job. I said I'd prefer to pay after the job was done. He said this was ok, and then he left the site and I didn't see him again. His crew started to work, and to their credit were very fast. However, I received a call from the concierge desk saying that one of the movers had urinated in the parking lot and one of the neighbours had complained. There was also a very visible scratch made on the door of the unit that nobody informed me of. I addressed these concerns with the business owner on the phone at the end of the move along with the hassle of starting so late, and he did not offer any compensation.

Everything got moved, and there was some minor damage to a piece of furniture but otherwise that part was fine. But the lateness, the behaviour, the door scratch, the difficulty making contact online, the price tag, and the lack of responsibility made this an unpleasant experience. I sought them out mainly because of their very strong reviews on this website, and I've been taught an important lesson that good reviews on a website are no substitute for doing your homework and shopping around.
