Heritage Renovations Windows And Doors

We are repeat customers. Heritage has replaced many of our windows in the past. They look great!
This time, we met first with Jay, who answered any questions we had, clearly outlining our window options. Bob came to measure the space, again very thorough and professional. We are looking forward to our new window.

Several years ago we purchased 3 patio doors and 8 windows for our cottage in Temagami. Recently we purchased two steel doors and a window. Both times we had excellent service, superior product and good prices. After our experience several years ago we didnt even look elsewhere.

Right from the start to the finished product we could not be happier with Heritage Renovations. We had Jay out to the house who answered all our questions, who made us feel very comfortable with the entire process, he was very honest on the time line we would receive our new door which we appreciated. The install crew did a great job & were spotless when they left- we love our new door & great costumer service that we received!!! What can I say? The North Star windows works. Outside stays out. Inside stays in and look like a million bucks. What more do you want out of a window? Heritage Renovations recently installed four new North Star windows in my home. The install team were very professional and didn't mind my 80lbs dog watching them work the whole time. I had three other quotes and Heritage Renovations was by far the best price. I was so impressed with their service and instal process, I am having them back to replace four more windows in my home this summer.

The guys at Heritage followed their timeline as stated. Had the windows installed with zero issues. Appreciated the friendly installers as well. Would use again

BEWARE THIS COMPANY. They might get good reviews but I will tell you right now that if you have a bad installation, Heritage will not own up to it. Our problems started with the installation of a front door which was in October, 2021. Looked great except we noticed shortly after that the door wouldn't open all the way - the sweep rubbed against our hardwood floors - which are our original floors, installed when the house was built. I addressed this with them and they came out to “fix” it. The contractor they sent took one look at the problem and said, "Oh yeah, the sweep is too low. I'll raise it." He did, but then when the weather got cold, there was a draft. When I called them about this, they told me that was my fault because I had "insisted" on having them raise the sweep, even though they had - supposedly - cautioned me against doing that. Ummm, what?? What are you talking about?? Then they went on to say that my "new flooring" was the problem, and I should call that contractor and get him to fix it. Again.. what?? Complaints on other websites have resulted in them telling further falsehoods, including the most recent - that I actually ADMITTED that I had had work done on my floors. Wow. They just pull out all the stops. I have consulted a well-respected contractor here in London who tell me the door was obviously put in too low and the proper measurements and assessments were not done up front. My floor might slant a little and this might not be common but it is not uncommon, and the initial measurements and assessments should have looked into this. My old door opened just fine with no draft, after all. This door was put in too low and has never worked properly. At this point, the sweep at the bottom of the door has been taken off and put back on too many times (at THEIR recommendation, always!) and is now warped. Because they say that is MY fault, they won't replace it. They imply that I bullied their contractors into doing what they recommended against - which plain and simple, never happened. The fixes were always the recommendations of the contractors, never something I even suggested, let alone insisted on. These people have ZERO integrity.

Over the passed year or so we have had Heritage replace most of our windows and doors. It was during the pandemic and of course a major worry was letting folks in our house. However, the installers were so thoughtful and considerate and the installations went smoothly. Last winter we were house bound and the new windows and doors made a huge difference to the temperature in the house. We are currently awaiting the arrival of one more door. Thank you Heritage.

We have used Heritage Renovations twice in the past (doors and windows) and are using them again for our next window replacement project. The workmanship and quality are unmatched. We highly recommend Heritage Renovations!
