Lawrence Park Complete Garden Care

I highly recommend Lawrence Park Complete Garden Care. After a Norway maple was cut down by the city and the large stump removed, our small, overgrown shade garden needed a total re-work. It was difficult to find a contractor who would re-set the dislodged rocks. Lawrence Park agreed, and did a fantastic job last Fall. The rocks are firmly in place, with spaces for a variety of rockery plants. We postponed the creation of garden of shrubs and perennials in the 20 by 30 foot area until after the new city tree was planted - in late November. In the spring Jessica proposed a design, worked with our ideas and suggested good alternatives when I did not like some element.. The final design incorporated some of the existing plants and an interesting variety of new ones. The installation was completed on schedule and the property thoroughly cleaned up. All the plants are thriving and we've received many compliments on our new look. Jessica and the installation crew were professional, knowledgeable and efficient ..a pleasure to work with!

Lawrence Park installed interlock brick on our driveway and built a deck in our backyard with a fire pit and privacy screens. The design was completed by Lawrence Park. A budget was presented with a timeline. The team came under budget and delivered the project before the anticipated deadline. Cost savings were achieved and the design is absolutely beautiful . They were neat and tidy while working and made valuable recommendations throughout. The team is knowledgeable, trustworthy and very efficient. Congratulations to Lawrence Park on another project well delivered.

Lawrence Park has done a wonderful job with our landscaping the past year: seasonal planters, tree maintenance, lawn maintenance, sprinkler upkeep.

Lawrence Park Garden Care has taken care of our lawn and garden for several years. This year we decided to do a major project and asked them to quote. Raina and Craig met with us to discuss the scope of the work and timing. Raina followed up shortly thereafter with drawings that captured our vision perfectly. The team carried out the work in a professional and timely way. We are delighted with the result!

I called Lawrence Park Garden Care because their trucks and vans are always in my neighbourhood during gardening season. They were one of three quotes I received to re landscape part of my backyard. I wanted removal of plants, relocating decorative stones, covering the area with artificial grass, and opening up my deck by adding an extra stair and removing a railing. Lawrence Park quote was not the cheapest but their rep seemed very knowledgeable and had a good manner. I went ahead with them. The day of the work a team 3-4 came to our house. The head landscape artist Larissa was excellent. She had great vision and communicated everything clearly and openly along the way. However, the work on my deck was different. Apparently Lawrence Park had to outsource the deck (wood work) to another company. I learned later that company was owned by the husband of one the sales rep who put together our quote! Anyway, I did not get I writing exactly the work they would be doing so on completion I was chocked to see that a huge gap was left all along the new part of my deck. Whereas we had no gaps before. The gap was about a foot and a half high and ran all along one side of the deck, right under he BBQ. When I asked about the gap I was told it was not part of the original quote and that if I wanted it boarded up, I would have to pay $1000 extra! I was so upset, so let down by the company. If there was extra work to be done I expected to be advised along the way, not stuck with unfinished work at the end AND handed a bill for extra payment. I future I will be crystal clear of what finished work should look like. In writing to be sure. Unfortunately this bad experience with the deck overshadows the good experience with the landscaping I received with this company. I am not sure if I would be recommending them to my family and friends.

Summer 2013 we had Lawrence Park Garden Care come and and redesign and landscape our backyard. We have a small space and wanted a more contemporary look with a focus on stone and interesting beds around the perimeter. We are thrilled with the finished product. They were true professionals and a joy to work with from start to finish. We strongly recommend them and will definitely use them again for any future landscape projects.

Lawrence Park appeared reasonable enough during the quotation process (referred through a friend). They weren't the cheapest, but seemed to convey expertise, reputation and ability to delivery on a complex landscaping overhaul. Their quote was somewhat vague (eg. how far they would go), but we relied on our conversations with them to get it right.

That's the end of the good story. Their guys arrived grumbling about lack of communication from "the office". They started picking away and then fired up some equipment to dregde the property of groundcover. When they were done, they had only covered two thirds of the agreed-upon area, and presented a new quote for the "additional" work. There were also scrape marks all over our flagstone and stray debris/roots everywhere. When we asked if they were going to clean it up, they said "no need". At this point, the person in charge of the job went on vacation for 2 weeks, passing our case over to someone else who knew little about landscaping and said she could not comment.

For a first-time customer, we were shocked at the casual approach to the work and poor quality. Even our neighbours mentioned the work seemed to be poorly done. When we got another landscaper in to finish the job and start some additional work, the same neighbour mentioned "these new guys really did a thorough job. They even tilled the soil". So, lesson learned: stay away from Lawrence Park Garden Care!!!

Allan Sinclair provided excellent service from the initial meeting and quote for redoing our front garden. His advice, plant suggestions and design were outstanding. The job was completed in one day (probably the most humid day of 2009!). The crew (Chris, Jordan and others) worked very hard, and were very professional. Thank you for a great perennial garden that we will enjoy for years to come.

Looking for a wonderful experience with dependable landscapers then choose Lawrence Park. Everything was done to perfection. And the care they took was great! They do everything from general lawn maintainance to shrub and planting!
