reverse osmosis in the kitchen

Their representative explained that I shall pay a monthly fee and they take care of everything including changing the cartridges. The contract was not clear and did not explain the issue very clear. They did it for the first year and after that they stopped it and said that I have to buy cartridges and change them myself and they only service the "equipment" if it has any problem. The cartridges are essential part of the system and now I have to pay five times of the real value of the system without actually receiving the required services.

Got Screwed by OCHS & CWB Maxium Financial

The vendor's lawyer omitted OCHS assignment when I closed on the house. My lawyer didnt pick up. Five months later, I called Enbridge about these unauthorised charges against my bill. OCHS was billing despite not having an assignment from the vendor. After Enbridge put a hold on the payments and opened a complaint. The vendor has 45 days to resolve. Their contact CWB Maxium Financial never contacted me. Instead they threatened the previous homeowner with default. Their lawyer contacted my lawyer so says I have no choice because I assumed it when I closed even if the Terms & Conditions werent disclosed at the time of sale.

I paid $3000 for a water heater that is worth about $700.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THE OCHS COMPANY or their partner CWB MAXIUM FINANCIAL, CONSIDER YOURSELF FOREWARNED.

VULNERABLE PEOPLE SCREWED! BEWARE!

I know this site doesn't want us to use the word that starts with an "S", but there is no other word. Two men showed up at my parents house (77 and 79 years old). Said they were there to check on the hot water tank. They are not the company who owns the hot water tank. They confirmed the hot water tank was ok but that my parents required a water softner. They almost signed off on a rent to own contract $59/month 10 years. But being elderly they needed a co-signer, enter my sister, who in turn figured something was fishy. Sister calls me. I call technician? who is at my parents house and he gives me the story. So if my parents sell in 4 years to go to an retirement/rental they have to have the new owners take over the contract, which no one will, or buy out the remaining $6000, oh ya and the lien on the house "possibly", which means there will be one. So at mortgage renewal time they would end up likely paying off the value of the contract. Completely didn't tell any of that to my parents. I have had trouble with companies like this, you don't even have to be a vulnerable person to get S'ed. I can't believe the government won't step up and and control these monsters. Good Luck!

Water Heater Nightmare

These folks are shady people to deal with. They prey on the young and old with false promises and elude to having business dealings with government rebates and popular named energy companies (e.g. Enbridge). They gave false information and when they realized that the person who didn't sign wasn't on the mortgage, they threatened them to re-sign. Now they have put a $3700 lien on the mortgage that we have to pay. Surely a water heater is not worth that. Do NOT deal with this shady company.

OCHS misrepresented the ontario government to sell water softener product

OCHS rep said it was a one time fee and that the government approved the scheme to replace old water softeners. They spoke to my wife to get into our house about a government scheme and then knew we had an old water softener in the basement.
The government has to protect its consumers from companies who prey on the vulnerable. It is is absolutely disgusting and they are allowed to keep tricking the members of public to sell their unneeded hardware which is not cheap and cumbersome to get away from.

Furnace & A/C

This is the worst company I have ever come across. Been dealing with them for almost a year. They are shady as hell and turns things around to make you feel like you are in the wrong yet they comply to keep you quiet. The most stressful and regretful decision I ever made to let them in my door. Stay away!! Liens on my house. Roadblocking eith their liens. They are just awful and now I don't trust anyone selling anything at my door.

Stay away from this company

Please stay away from this company. I wish I could give negative rating. I think customers should consider filing a class action. A salesman knocked at the door, gave the impression that they were doing government-related upgrades, and tricked me into replacing my hot water tank. The tank leaked the 1st day installed... I had fault on my side too: I shouldn't have signed the contract on the spot without googling this company. Lesson: never trust any on-door salesman and always do your own research. Some time later the company offered a free water tank inspection. I was skeptical but thought it didn't hurt to have the technician come and check. Then I found their real interest was to selling me a water softener/purifier (saying most homes in my region have one) that would cost me $50+tax monthly for 10 years -- that's $7,500 in total for a water softener... absolutely insane. Got smarter this time and said a big NO.

Water Heater

This company is shady to say the least.
They misrepresented themselves to get their water heater into my home.
It leaked within a year causing hundreds of dollars damage to the basement and now 3 months later still trying to collect the money for the clean up.
Shockingly no manager or employees are ever around to talk to.
STAY AWAY!

Water Softener and A/ Rental equipment

I was trick into signing a contract at my door after I let one of the rep in to test my water. He told me that he was there because the government was worried that the A/C is not safe and I need to upgrade to a new one. I am now living a nightmare that is not going away. I tried getting better business bureau to solve the issue and it end as unresolved. Just got a bill from the company because enbridge will not accept the charge on their bill stating that I have seven days to pay and if not they will turn the file to collection agency. I contacted the company on Dec 21 when I got my first bill and realize that the information what I sign and agree to in not what was happen. Sill struggling to get a resolution.
