I absolutely guarantee that Pest Solution Services (PSS) and Muhammad are the best bedbug specialists in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

I have spent 2 weeks incessantly researching this difficult problem; and I also had a prior traumatizing experience of having a hardy strain of mites/scabies for 7 weeks back in the 1990s, so I understand the full gravity of this seemingly impossible problem of bedbugs spreading throughout the GTA, particularly Toronto itself.

Do not waste your time with pest control companies that just spray and leave; or other pop-up companies making grand promises and also create fake 5-star reviews for themselves (avoid Bark.com’s referral service), then never show up as guaranteed if the problem persists.

Pest Solution Services/ Muhammad are the best in the business. I have learned so much from him (he’s an entomologist), and he does such a thorough job. Plus, he does follow-up as their 6-month guarantee promises. Ask him any questions you may have, and I recommend being proactive about getting any preventative bedbug products you can from PSS. I say this for your own good — not because I feel the need to promote PSS’s products. Believe me, I understand the bedbug situation. I had a friend with bedbugs, and it took her 3.5 YEARS TO ELIMINATE THE BEDBUGS.

Be proactive. I also recommend the ZappBug Ovens to heat treat your belongings. But Pest Solution Services and Muhammad should be your first go-to at the first sign of bedbugs. He also will respond to your problem promptly, ready to show up the next day. This is important when you understand the life cycle of bedbugs. It takes only one pregnant female to produce 250-500 babies (nymphs).

Anyway, I can’t praise Muhammad enough. We got the problem under control in ONE treatment, with ONE follow-up to check if there were any further signs. But because of my experience with scabies/mites and bedbugs can likewise survive without food (human blood) for 18 months, I cannot swear we’re out of the woods yet.

Be vigilant. Bag and wash your clothes in the hottest water and highest dryer setting (laundromat’s have hot dryers). Get disposable gloves, many garbage bags (recommend clear), and although Muhammad doesn’t recommend it, I also got rubbing alcohol isopropyl 70% and hydrogen peroxide in case I need to spot treat any bedbugs or eggs, or soak items that were in or near an infected area (just to be safe; believe me, I threw out everything I possibly could). And do not keep your disposed items sitting around waiting for garbage day. Seal them tight. Apparently there are special large bedbug-proof bags you can buy online.

Take care not to cross-contaminate or recontaminate different areas or your belongings and clothes. Be sure to get the interceptors/traps on every piece of furniture you may occupy (beds, sofas, chairs etc).

We had 4 bedbug larvae hidden in a side table next to the bed. I dread to think if they had hatched. Thank goodness Muhammad spotted the problem with his thoroughness. He also wears a hazmat suit and booties.

You cannot be too safe or vigilant when it comes to bedbugs. Toronto’s bedbug spread is living proof of how difficult this problem is.
