We chose Stone's Throw after seeing the work they did at our neighbour's house. They were polite, clean, and the work looked great. We were not disappointed when we selected them to update our backyard. Right from the first meeting to the end of the project, the team was friendly, honest, and very courteous of our property and our neighbours'. Despite a period of terrible weather, the team worked hard to make up lost time and finished within the estimated schedule. John has great communication skills, and was easily accessible before and during the job for questions and advice on products, look, function, etc. He even dropped off a couple stone samples to save us a trip to the yard. It looks amazing, and we get regular compliments. Thank you John and team!

Spectacular work from the team at Stone's Throw. Chose them largely due to reviews. Always kept in contact, excellent communication, job site cleaned up, work clearly done by experts in their trade, exceeded expectations. We hired Stones Throw Masonry to lay 8 courses of concrete block for our new 28' X 30' cottage garage with loft.
The brothers John and Justin come from a long line of family stone masons. The first thing I noticed was how well they work together, they worked very efficently and accuately.
The brothers started off with using a laser level to get accuate lines of reference and then did a dry stack of block on all four corners and re-checked for squareness and plumb. They then drilled holes for the block rebar in the concrete footings. They started laying block and on every second course they add block lock reinforcing metal webs, and on top of the last course they installed anchor bolts as per building code. The brothers finishing the mortor joints on both sides of the block frost wall as they progressed up.
When my son inlaw a proffesional framer by trade with On Time Contracting came up the frame the 2X6 stud walls the first thing he did was to check to see how square and plumb the blocks where. He was very impressed as he checked diagonally corner to corner at 41' and found that they where within 3/8 of an inch of being perfectly square. He wished all his sites where as accurate as that and hopes to work with Stones Throw Masonry in the future.
Both John and Justin are excellent at thier craft, they completed the job in 2 days and I couldn't be happier with the end result.
I highly recommend Stones Throw Masonry for all your stone, block and landscaping needs.

Can't say enough about these guys, Justin delivered exactly as we envisioned on time and exactly as quoted ...Justin & John found a creative way to build a water featrure that blends perfectly with the rest of the landscaping. I would definately refer these guys , not only for their workmanship but their customer service and overall easy going professional attitude ...thanks again guys ...ps. got a good deal on some garage doors through their referral as well ...thx guys ;)

Well that was a resoundingly brilliant outcome. From the get-go, Justin was prompt, thoughtful, realistic, helpful & proved skilled @ his craft. I had 5 contractors quote - apples to apples. Justin was the only one who made note of the tuckpointing & made recommendations when I pointed out the issue I was having with the paver stones at my front door. He had an opening, and so, arrived weeks earlier than originally intended, and I was already scheduled to be away that weekend. He said he really didn't need me around, & I got a very good feeling about Justin's abilities, so I let him be. I returned 2 days later to find the new limestone sills lining the 2 large front windows of my home - they look AWESOME!!!! He also did a fine job of lifting & relaying the landing pavers. They don't look great - but they never did. They ARE levelled, neat & safe - which is what I wanted & all I expected. I recommend this company & Justin in particular with complete confidence. I will hire them again - possibly sooner than later.

Great job Justin and John! I was lucky to contact you when you were quoting on doing my neighbour's patio. Your price for rebuilding my front porch was less than the original job done in 1997. You gave me good advice, and adapted to my desire to enlarge the top layer without extra charges. You cleaned up completely and you used leftover material to widen my back steps and at no extra charge! Great service. Knowledgeable and friendly.

The neighbour's patio looked great too, and I know they are pleased.

I found Stone's Throw on Homestars, and called John for a quote. He came promptly, offered options and was competitively priced. Once hired, he started the job sooner than he anticipated, responded to a couple of concerns I had, and left me with the front porch I was hoping for. He was a nice guy to deal with, and someone I would recommend.

Justin and John provided excellent quality and customer service. Their design suggestions for our interlock front walkway were more esthetically appealing and functional than we envisioned. The design accommodated mobility needs which was one of our major concerns. The quote was reasonable and clearly communicated leaving no surprises at the end. They were pleasant and polite to deal with, and completed the work within our agreed upon timeframe. We found both Justin and John to be organized, professional, honest, and hard-working producing excellent professional results. Justin and John have also done some smaller landscape work on our property before this larger project and we were very happy with their work. We would highly recommend Stones Throw Masonry to anyone, and we will use them again for our future needs.
