Roman and Klara, owners of BCH Landscaping have been absolutely wonderful to deal with. We have now used them twice for 2 very different projects (deck replacement and new stone walkway with landscaping) and both times were completely satisfied with both the process and the outcome. They are creative in their designs, offered more then one option for each project, listened to our needs and wants and respected our budget. Unlike most of the contractors we have dealt with as homeowners their communication was excellent, always on time, proactive, and making sure we were completely satisfied before moving on to the next step of the project. We found BCH Landscaping through an online search. Most of the companies we contacted promised to come to provide an estimate, but never showed up. I first talked to Klara and we hit it off right away. We were happy to learn that we were actually close neighbours. She promised to come by to look at the job and provide an estimate and she did just that.

We agreed to have the work done and a few weeks later she showed up with her husband Roman and his crew.

They transformed our tired property into a vibrant oasis full of blooming plant life and colour. Klara addressed a problem area where we have a very wet area in our yard. They planted a large tree in out rear yard and laid out numerous planting beds.

Klara and Roman are both hands on contractors and they oversaw every step of the process (and weren't afraid to get their hands dirty either). We found them and their crew to be professional, efficient and courteous. Not only that, but we consider them to be our new friends.

Another thing to note is that they have great follow-up and support after the job is done.

In conclusion, I would say that you can't go wrong hiring BCH landscaping. If your experience is anything like ours was, you won't be disappointed that you did. I know that we will use them in the future.

We first used BCH Landscaping in 1997 to create new front steps. The steps are still there 16 years later and in very good condition.
In Spring 2013 we hired BCH again to replace the stone walkway from the driveway at the front to the patio at the back of the house and to replace the old patio.
The work was done on time and without any surprises. Roman and Kara's designs provided features we had not thought of and the quality of work was excellent. We are very impressed with the results and feel we got good value for the money spent.
Roman and Klara are great people to work with and after 24 years in the business, they know what they're doing. Highly recommended!

I have used BCH Landscaping twice and I have been extremely pleased with the results each time!
The front steps were completed about 4 years ago and the side and back patio were completed in April 2012. The old patio stones were removed and a beautiful new patio, steps and walkway were installed.
Roman and his team were there every day for a week paying attention to every little detail.
I love the patio and I highly recommend BCH Landscaping for any stone work and landscape renovations.

Last July (2011) my wife and I decided to replace the existing pavers at our backyard patio and walkway and to add new steps and a new walkway along the side of the house. We did our homework and based on reviews such as those found here we hired BCH to do the job. The work was started early August. It went reasonably well and we were generally pleased with the results. But it was only after the first rainfall that we realized that the existing 30 ft long walkway that was replaced along the rear did not drain properly and had several low spots and unacceptable water ponding. We of course called BCH to try to get the problem corrected. But after several phone calls and attempts to get them back it became obvious we were being ignored. When they did finally return in mid October to have a look it was without prior notice with no one home to meet them and discuss it. I received a terse phone call telling me they did not agree there was a problem and refused to correct the deficiencies. As pleased as we were with the rest of the job, needless to say we’re also very disappointed BCH did not honor the warranty claim. We’re reminded of this every time it rains and we hopscotch along the walkway to miss the puddles. A word of advice: If you should decide to hire BCH for your landscaping work don’t make the same mistake we did. As you should do with any contractor make sure you keep an adequate holdback from your final payment until you’re satisfied everything’s done right and there are no deficiencies. You might never get them back otherwise!

We hired Roman and his team from BCH Landscaping to perform a makeover on our front yard and entrance. Let me tell you, Extreme Makeover has nothing on BCH Landscaping.

Roman met with us - and provided us with two different options. He was even great in encouraging us to do the front - and then we'd talk about what we were thinking about for the backyard. His quote broke everything down into specific costs, allowing us to make decisions and have choices.

The entire team from BCH Landscaping were truly a pleasure to have around. They were such craftsman, so professional - and friendly and personable as well. Every night at the end of the work day, the job site was left immaculate. Roman was onsite every day - side by side with his team - and they managed to incorporate any change or additional thing we needed into the project, such as running a drain under the walkway when we decided to more our rainspout to the outside wall of our roof.

BCH removed our overgrown shrubbery - and transformed our front entry. We would love to share our before and after photos! Now - we watch people walk by and stop to look and admire. The value of our house has increased substantially more than the cost of the project.

Roman and team are perfectionists - and Roman pays close attention to every detail --but is a joy to deal with! We knew exactly what was happening each day - and he kept us well informed. He had great design skills - and worked with us as well to make the project everything we wanted. At the end of the job - there were no surprises - the information we were presented with at the time of our quote was dead on.

Better call BCH soon - because we -- and every one of their other customers will be calling them back. This team will be in high demand. We can't wait until spring to bring their garden expert over to consult on my new garden!

From start to finish, the service and workmanship is professional and top quality in every way. This is our third time using BCH Landscaping; two times in a previous home and most recently in our new home. BCH works with you at every step of the process to offer their expert, creative advice on design and construction of walkways etc. and plantings to ensure that you get just what you want. The work is done efficiently and cleanly. The results are truly excellent.

BCH tore down and replaced our defective, wobbly front stone steps and walkway very professionally and efficiently. It is clear to us that Roman, Clara, and the rest of their team know what they are doing. We have no hesitation in recommending BCH to our family and friends.

August 2011: I'm lowering my rating to 8 from 10 after receiving no response/follow-up from the company after e-mailing them about some concerns I have with the work done last year.
