Gecko was an amazing company to deal with. From getting a quote to seeing the finished project, each step was a very easy process. The garage was build very quickly but also build with the best of quality in mind. I would highly recommend Gecko to anyone that is looking to have a garage build by real professionals.

Gecko Projects Ltd built our garage in September 2020. We are very happy with the garage and the service that was provided. They were very efficient and kept to the timeline that we discussed which was very important to us. Derrick is very professional, personable and stayed in touch throughout the process. Whenever we had questions they were promptly answered. We had a loft added for storage which turned out great. We would highly recommend using Gecko Projects Ltd.

Very happy with a 20x22 rear detached garage project by Gecko! The project included stucco siding and a 30x3 long concrete walkway to the house. The total price is very, very reasonable (considering the amount of concrete used and stucco being somewhat rarer these days). Build quality is excellent.

The key seller for me was communication. From the initial estimate to regular work updates, everything was consistent and timely with Derrick. This is very reassuring for anyone unsure which contractor to choose.

Brief timeline: Derrick came over for a site assessment at the end of July, any remaining details and specs were discussed very efficiently over email, and the contract was signed electronically in mid-Aug. Work started in early Sept and finished by the end of Sept.

Derrick and his team were recommended to me by friends and now I know why! He was so great to deal with - so responsive, knowledgeable, helpful and trustworthy! His rates were unbeatable and his work is impeccable. It was truly an awesome experience from start to finish - he went above and beyond several times and the entire process was fantastic and seamless.
Even my neighbours reached out to tell me how impressed they were with the work they watched Gecko do (and some are now going to be having him build their garages too!)

We are not only extremely happy with the quality of our garage, but the customer service and the professionalism has been by far the best customer service we have ever experienced. The quality of work is taken very serious, the entire crew worked so hard. One of the most impressive things that we noticed was that when the crew came to start building I don't think they even needed to say a word to each other as they all knew exactly what they needed to do as if they all had their own role working like a well oiled machine, not to mention, there was not one time they didn't leave the work space spotless before they left for the day. You can tell this team has been working together for a long time which says a lot about both their quality of work and management treating them well.

Derrick was SO incredible with his communication, keeping us updated at every step of the way, very detailed and thorough leaving nothing out. Left us with very little questions to ask and allowed us to simply trust in the process of the build! From our initial estimate meeting through to the completion of the garage, Gecko performed above and beyond. Every stage of the project went smoothly, with no hassles, and no surprises. I have worked in the building trades myself and it is obvious from the start that Derrick and his crew are a well practiced group who come to the site prepared, and ready to work. They are professional, courteous, and even seemed to be quite OK with my almost continuous inspection of their progress. Their building process is very efficient, and the speed with which the garage went up was impressive.

We contacted Gecko Projects after reading all the great reviews on HomeStars, and Derrick did not disappoint! We had an existing garage that was more like a shed in a tight inner city location, and Derrick came by (during the height of the pandemic no less) and provided an estimate that included everything from demo to new garage. He even provided fencing to close off the yard and some shelving also! We are extremely happy with the garage and the speed at which it came up was impressive. Even the neighbours came by to remark about how quickly it was finished! Would highly recommend Derrick and his team for any new garage build.

Everything about my experience with Derrick and his team was first class. From Derrick's attention to detail with his quote, to keeping me updated throughout the project, to bringing up ideas I never thought of, to having someone back quick to fix the smallest of imperfections. I have OCD tendancies, so for someone to please me that is a tall task. He did that and more.
