Derrick is awesome. We're lucky that we found him! He takes the lead on communicating and with contractors in Calgary, this is rare. Very happy with the process and have actually enjoyed working with him! Always goes the extra mile and let me say, I've dealt with my fair share of contractors and he's the best.

Derrick and his team did an amazing job. By far the best contractor we have ever dealt with, I would strongly recommend Gecko Projects. Fantastic Customer Service, extremely professional, respectful, fast and very responsive. We are delighted with our new garage and it was a really great experience working with Gecko Projects. We waited until the snow melted and the ground was ready for the concrete but once the team started the garage was built in 2 days! It was awesome to watch them work. We really appreciated how respectful they were not just to us and our property but also to our neighbours and their properties.

Derrick helped us with the Development Permit application and submitted the application on our behalf. He was extremely supportive and very knowledgeable on the whole process. Our Development Permit was initially rejected and Derrick helped us with the appeal process. We were successful in our appeal thanks to Derrick!

We will definitely use Gecko Projects again when the time comes. I just wish they also did home renovations!

We wanted a garage, and weren't looking forward to finding a competent company that could do the job the way we wanted. After reading internet reviews and talking with 2 other garage companies we chose Gecko Projects. We are extremely happy with our garage Derrick and his great crew built for us. We were at the mercy of Calgary spring weather, but with good communication with Derrick, with almost daily updates on scheduling, they had the concrete poured and the garage up in no time. The 3 city inspectors, that were required for this project, all commented on the workmanship, done properly, neat and tidy. I am the envy of my friends with that garage door and belt drive garage door opener. I would highly reccommend Derrick and his crew at Gecko Projects. Thanks again

Derrick was always one step ahead, making recommendations about the size and type of garage that would work best for us, and working alongside a house under construction beside us. Derrick kept us well informed each step of the way and as a result, the garage build was quick and painless. The company employs young, local workers, teaching them valuable skills on how to build things right. We have one word for Derrick and his team - excellent! Derrick goes well above and beyond to deliver a great service and of course, a great garage. His communication is amazing and we were involved in every step of the process. Derrick made the whole process very easy with no surprises. The pride he takes in his work is obvious and we are very happy with the final product (and the neighbours are quite jealous!). Had Derrick and 2 other companies give quotes. He was fit right in the middle as far as price went but more importantly he seemed to be the only one that was not pushy or arrogant, just a nice guy.
It wasn't a hard decision to make as to who would be doing the work.
Everything was right on schedule, on budget and on par with my expectations. (I can be a little picky with quality of work)
Derrick surrounds himself with great people who all had the same level of professionalism.

We first met with Derrick to inquire about having them build a garage for us, instead of building it ourselves. I am a very passionate car guy, and a perfectionist, so I am very picky with how I want the garage built. Derrick met with us at a time that was very convenient for us, and on relatively short notice. When we met with him, he was very patient with my numerous questions, and was extremely knowledgeable. He not only answered all of my questions, but he also came up with a few ideas that were even better than what I had in mind. He even priced out ALL of my many different options. The price was more than fair, and the financing option made it a no-brainer. It was very impressive that he not only remembered all of the things that mattered to me when building the garage, he built it accordingly even adding a few small things here and there that I never thought about until after he did them. He didn't just build exactly what we talked about, but he put himself in my shoes and built it as if he was building his own garage. He had told me that weather permitting, they would start building the garage middle of August, around the 15th or so... In spite of all of the rain, and crazy flooding we had in Calgary this summer, the garage was READY Aug 13th!!!!With my career, I come and go at very random times, so I can say for sure that the crew was friendly, and worked cleanly and efficiently.
Throughout the whole process Derrick kept me up to date through email, and answered any questions or concerns in a timely manner. We can not say enough about Gecko Projects. They really did a fantastic job! I will be recommending them to everyone I can.
