Removal of squirrels and lock down
Thanks For the review. The previous companies chicken wire and lag bolts came off with a meager tug. Yes, lag bolts were used to attach chicken wire to my clients aluminum cladding. Never under estimate the potential of wildlife to take advantage of weak work. Animals have all day to tug on things and loosen up shoddy work with shoddy materials. They will come back.
Thanks for your review. In this particular case the wasps were entering the siding on two fronts. I have never seen so many wasps. I hauled out well over a thousand wasps and still did a revisit two weeks later as a few were still around. Knowing the extent and relative size of a hidden nest is impossible and by simply dusting I know that based on this job's dynamics it would have been a dangerous situation for this client. Thousands of wasps hovering to get in and wasps potentially entering the home would have been the result of not doing the job correctly. I don't know how many calls I get whereby a homeowner or company just blocked the entry /exit area with a dust or spray. Joe
Thanks. Job was straight forward.Joe
Bees and Wasps and Hornets, oh my.
Thanks for the review. I was amazed at how three different species of bees/wasps could want to set up shop in such close proximity. The bay window was challenging to treat due to some overgrown landscaping which was in my way. In the end I created a nice bonsai out of an over grown juniper bush so that I could reach the underside of the window. 95 % of the wasps were mechanically removed to avoid any lingering wasps and or wasps getting into the home.
Thanks guys for the review. This job involved a few pesky mice that managed to enter the home via a small gap in the siding. The mice weren't hungry and traps were used since their entry was now closed. Finding such a tiny access point was accomplished through a long initial inspection. Sealing the area is crucial towards achieving longer lasting results.Jioe
Originally, I was contacted to inspect a unit three doors down from this one by another pest control company. As it happened my client was seeing alates ( winged reproductive termites ). Having called a major company in the termite world she was told by the rude receptionist that they were carpenter ants and that she should buy some raid. Having a keen sense she asked for a second opinion which lead my college to recommend Snap pest control. Upon arrival A preliminary inspection revealed that termites were indeed present at the home. I brought Domenic in because we had to surgically remove walls, vapor barrier, insulation etc.. and as a contractor he could do it so that other trades could follow us with minimal work and stress. We bought paper for the floors, and I had a vacuum cleaner running as the drywall was being cut to leave the unit as free from dust as possible. In the end the damage structurally was quite significant and therefore it became evident that all the homes in this row have the same structural flaws contributing to excess moisture levels and hence termites. Having treated 3 of the 5 units already it is clear that the newest chemical ( Altricet ) ) in our arsenal against termites is actually working well. We still have 1 more unit to treat and will be conducting yearly inspections.Joe
I used a trick to knock down the numbers of wasps before injecting a dust. There is always a chance that large numbers of wasps can enter a home if they are agitated enough and therefore I prefer to lessen the numbers considerably before treating. I know from experience that this is going to be the worst wasp year I have ever seen.Get the nest taken care of now because by September they will have double or even tripled in size. Joe
I never saw two happier people open the door then these girls. Even I was hit hard by the wave of the carcass smell that emanated down the hall and hit me. I knew right away by the sourness and strength of the odor that is was in a moist damp spot. The girls were convinced it was in a wall behind the refrigerator. My olfactory ( I just had to use this word in a sentence ) skills told me to look underneath and inside the lower back part. Having removed the back end of the refrigerator the smell was more prevalent. I used a snake scope and could see some blackened image stuck to the drip tray itself. The problem was the tray was in tight and impossible to remove. The girls wanted the thing out badly so I told them that the quickest way was to empty the contents of the fridge out and then we could put it on sits side and remove the tray. We made a chain and removed everything out, scraped off the cadaver, soaped and sterilized the refrigerator and added some mango scent to the mix. A happy ending.Joe
Thanks for the review. This job was done at night and they were all nicely tucked in for the evening. They didn't even know what hit them. Joe
