Furnace, hot water tank, a/c

Having been impacted by the July 8, 2013 flooding in Toronto, nearly 5' water, we needed to have our furnace and hot water tank tested. Having dealt with Convertible Air to install the existing furnace and a/c unit in 2006, we did not hesitate to call them again.
Grant and the crews that came out were professional, courteous and did a wonderful job. Showed up on time and were extremely helpful. Price was great and we quickly had hot water and following a clean up of the a/c unit had cool air inside to enable us to complete the tear down of the basement.

The teams at Convertible Air made our difficult time so much easier.

Again, many thanks to all at Convertible Air.

New A/C installed

I just wanted to post a 5 star rating for PK from Convertible Heating and Air Conditioning for getting the A/C unit replaced for my rental property with a new one. The turn around time was quick, the price was right and he was flexible with the payment method ( I couldn't be onsite at the time of installation so we met afterwards ). Keep up the good work!

Installation of Air-conditioner & Furnace

After having spent atleast 3 weeks in obtaining quotes from various dealers representing different manufacturers, I narrowed down on CONVERTIBLE HEATING N AIRCONDITIONING.
Confident talks of Mr Sam, no nonsense sales pitches, reasonable rates, old family business, in service since 1967, indeed a commendable job in itself.
Marnie, a family member was the sales person visiting my home, taking pain to measure her jobs to quote more precise, was equally knowledgeble.
Installation team, Mr Adams and Mr Greg, arrived in time, and completed the job in an excellent manner, with patience, and cleaning up before leaving.
I , was to be paying by credit card, after the installation, however their office was closed by the time my installation was completed, and the guys left asking me to call up and pay by card the nextday, as I was not comfortable giving them my card details.
I could not believe , here was a company completing a job of $ 5250.00, without a penny in their pocket.

furnace, AC, power vented water heater

My search for a company to replace our gas furnace, AC and possibly water heater, started in February. Over several weeks 8-10 reps visited the house and we talked about Lennox, Carrier, Goodman, Rheem, American Standard...and more. Since we are the middle of a row of three houses, the question of venting (2" or 3" white pipes) quickly emerged as the "hot" topic. They all seemed to think that we could go through the family room, under the front porch and out the front of the house. No problem they assured me.
As I was getting ready to decide on a company, a flyer arrived in my mailbox from Convertible. My first contact was with owner/founder Sam and he set the tone with easy to understand talk...no upsell, no nonsense. A short time later Marnie visited the house and quoted on Rheem and American Standard equipment. The prices were the best I had received. Marnie was also the first one to express any concern about the "out the front" venting plan, so she arranged for installer Dave St. Croix to have a look. After 30 secs with Dave I was convinced that the front venting plan would have been a disaster, resulting in vent pipes running through our family room at head-height. Dave spent almost an hour looking at all possibilities and came upo with a solution nobody else had considered.
By changing the water heater to power vented we could take out the chimney liner and run both the furnace and water heater pipes up the chimney.
The installation was done by Dave and Mike...outstanding job with lots of attention to detail. In all, a very satisfying process with Convertible and I would give them a 15 on 10 if I could. Huge thanks to Marnie, Dave and Mike.
What did I learn:
don't be scared by the "big two" who will try to convince you nobody else has good product.
make sure that the installer can deliver on what the salesperson is telling you, especially if your case is in any way difficult.

Air Conditioning Unit

I have used Convertible Air a few times over the years and I have always been extremely impressed. They installed a 1.5 ton AC unit in our first home and they were about $500 cheaper than everyone else and the unit was great! When we moved 5 years ago we called them back to install a 2.5 ton AC unit in our new place and the unit has been terrific. Sandy was great to deal with and gave us a variety of options to chose from making the buying process pretty easy. They showed up when they said they would, the finished on time and the craftsmanship was terrific. Would recommend them to anyone looking to stay cool :)

Furnace Service Call

Our garage door torsion spring broke after 8 years and we needed a replacement and All City Garage Doors did a great job with this replacement. It's a very dangerous DIY so we decided hiring a professional was the best way to proceed. Very happy with the work done and the service received was professional and done up to standards one would expect.
