We were extremely impressed with Mike from Buyer's Edge. Mike came out to help us figure out where water was entering our home. He was thorough and took the time to answer our questions. He made excellent recommendations on things that needed to be addressed. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable! Mike had the inspection report to us on the same day that we saw him. The cost for the service was incredibly reasonable. We would not hesitate to work with Mike again in the future.

Mike was introduced to us through Rick Strand (Strand Home Inspections Inc) whom which we worked back in time and wanted to hire again, but was fully booked at that time.

Within the next day, he provided me with a 60 pages long report that explained every little detail of deficiencies he found.

Mike recently did a home inspection for my husband and I. We found him to be very friendly, professional, and did not rush through the process at all including answer all of our questions along the way. He visited every inch of the house, taking his time, from top to bottom. He also made sure to take pictures of any issues to document. His report came a few hours after the inspection and was very thorough and professional. We would definitely use Mike again and would recommend him to anyone looking to buy a house.

i just met with Mike yesterday regarding a property in one of Calgary's NW communities. It's an older house that has been 'renovated' but with lacking workmanship and some corner cutting which did put up definite concerns on what additional bones i might find with the property. My girlfriend and i spent hours folowing Mike; asking and sponging loads of information about the property that we would never have learnt or found on our own. Mike answered all of our questions with good details and explanations. i can't even imagine how much info is stored in his head! We received our inspection report last night (same day turnaround) and we were extremely happy with the service provided. We can't recommend Mike enough; except selfishly for the fact that we hope he has time for our future inspections should people catch on to the exceptional quality of his work.

In the past 12 years Mike has inspected 3 houses for us with the houses ranging in age from 30 years old to 100 years old. Mike is professional, highly knowledgeable and meticulous in his inspections. That's why we keep going back to him! In our most recent inspection in February 2014, he found a problem with the furnace and we were able to go back to the sellers and get a price adjustment because of his findings. Mike is a straight-shooter who is happy to clearly explain what's going on during the inspection. In all of our inspections he has been thorough and will squeeze himself into a variety of places to ensure he is not missing anything. The property was 16 yrs old. He took his time with the property and was patient and thorough with his inspection. He was very detailed in his explanations for each concern which gave us confidence in what we were buying.

Mike was the inspector on a home inspection on a 1940's property and specifically looked for deficiencies that eventually collapsed the sale. The purpose is to review a property and to give opinions and to back up his information. Mike found some deficiencies with this 70 year old property ;-), and treated this as a new home regarding codes. There is a reason we do not use Inspectors like this.

Mike is the real deal. We recently had Mike inspect a potential house for us. He was very knowledgeable and throughout.
