Ashlar Landscapes

In late Fall 2020 Ashlar Landscaping replaced our front and back porches and replaced our old wooden deck with a new stone patio.
Working with Daimon and Ashlar Landscaping was a pleasure throughout the process. Communication was consistent even before the initial quotation and continued to the end of the project.
Daimon listened carefully to our ideas and concerns and design vision and brought his expertise to the details of the project. We felt as though this was a joint effort: he provided detailed quotations with options and recommended materials from which we could choose. He made recommendations that improved the durability and appearance of the project without increasing the budget.
Many of our neighbors have a background in construction and could see how the project was well-constructed from the ground up to the finished project. A number approached Ashlar to work on their properties after seeing our project.
We feel the best description would be value. Ashlar is not the most or least expensive, but they provide excellent value in the quality of their installation and the expertise they bring to the client.
Ashlar will return in 2021 to add plantings due to the late November completion date.

Update Summer 2021.

Ashlar returned in finish the plantings, add a privacy fence and some lighting. They were happy to make some minor repairs where a surface had settled and was pooling water. Their communication before arrival was excellent as always.
They gave us a list of possible plantings to review at a nursery before installation. They completed their work on budget even though we added some features to the plan.
We are very happy with the final result . Ashlar was a joy to work with. We highly recommend them.

Ashlar Landscapes (Daimon and his crew) built our back yard patio and driveway last year. We are extremely happy with the quality and professionalism of everybody. Not only we but also our neighbors noticed the quality of the work performed. People still stop to complement us on our driveway. It is very beautiful and very good quality since the team dug very deep to assure that the base is very solid and the driveway and patio will withstand its original beautiful condition for years to come. All the grout that holds the stones in place was replaced and it looks amazing after a hard winter. Thanks to Ashler landscaping we will be enjoying our patio for years.

Had Daimon and his team landscape our backyard, replacing an existing patio and adding an additional courtyard area. Working with an irregularly shaped lot that sloped, he was able to create a great layout that was functional and relaxing, whether eating outside or enjoying an evening around the fire pit. His team was very professional and he made suggestions without us feeling pressured to add upgrades. Would highly recommend.

This was my second project with Ashlar in 4 years. Ashlar provides an itemized list of all aspects of the project making it easy to add or subtract from the project. The crew was in constant communication about the project and any cost saving were passed onto me.

We hired Ashlar Landscapes to do an interlocking driveway. Daimon and his team were friendly, professional, on time and dedicated to getting the job done. We are looking forward to phase 2 next Spring to do more work on our patios and walkways! Highly recommended.

I hired Ashlar to do two things: 1) a new walkway at the side of my house and around an existing concrete slab in my backyard, replacing old patio stones and 2) new front steps. When he came to give the estimate Daimon talked me out of replacing a retaining wall made of railway ties adjacent to the steps, saying that he could replace the top layer of wood which was rotted, and that otherwise it looked to be in good shape. Once they started the job though, the railway ties lower down were rotted too, so we had to add the retaining wall to the job. Daimon was so apologetic and was worried that I would think he was upselling me - of course I knew he wasn't because he had talked me out of doing the retaining wall when he gave the estimate. Anyway, he priced the extra work very fairly and Jamie and crew did an outstanding job. He started the job on the expected date, but with the additional work it took a little longer than planned. Our experience with Ashlar was excellent, we will get them back to do the retaining wall on the other side of the driveway soon.

We hired Ashlar Landscapes to do some landscaping on our front and backyards. We had hired them twice, once to do a walkway and steps at the front of the house and a second time to do a walkway and the patio in the backyard. Obviously we were happy with the work they had done since we hired them a third time to do a river rock bed under a big tree at the front of the house and walls for the flower beds in the backyard.

We are, again, very happy with what they did. The front yard looks great but the backyard looks even much better than we thought it would look. Daimon and his team, Matt and Parker, came up with great ideas and worked perfectly to implement them in the time and at the price quoted.
