Straight Up Masonry

Our brick house had never had the repointing done, and there were numerous areas of chipped or insufficient mortar, "step cracks" in mortar, and cracks in foundation blocks. There was a chimney that was no longer in use but didn't meet building codes that needed to be removed and capped. There was also a stone walkway from the deck to the driveway that was unstable and needed to be properly set into the ground. Tony did a thorough assessment and documented the work areas photographically before sending an estimate. He was both professional and personable, as were the crew members who did the work. They were able to start at the estimated time and completed the work more quickly than expected. We are very pleased with Straight Up.

We hired Straight Up Masonry to brick up a large kitchen window. The crew did an amazing job. The bricked up area blends perfectly with the surrounding brickwork. They exceeded our expectations.

Straight Up Masonry did a great job on my projects. I had both a chimney and a front porch pillar rebuild. Tyler and Chris were prompt, arriving super early each day to work. We were looking for a company to do masonry work at a project in Riverdale and came across Straight Up Masonry on a number of searches.

After getting estimates from 5 contractors, we decided to go with theirs - and truly couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

The work was scheduled and completed as planned with communication throughout the process.

They repaired over 200 bricks on this 100+ year old home, created a new opening for a large patio door (which involved custom steel lintels and pouring concrete thresholds), re-bricked windows...quite a bit of work but they handled it all.

I was most impressed with the fact that they kept the site clean - even cleaning up after themselves each day even when they were coming back the next day. True pros.

I’d have zero hesitations in recommending their services.

For the record, they weren’t the lowest of the 5 estimates but were also not even close to the highest. A fair price and great work.
