The Roofers

I did a lot of research into various roofing companies in the Fall of 2019, including here on HomeStars of course. I ended up contacting four companies in total for on-site quotes. Unfortunately, due to timing and some issues on our side of things, we weren't able to get the roof completed before winter weather arrived. However, after receiving the quotes and meeting with reps from the four companies, I had decided to go with Sean and "The Roofers".

Sean was great to deal with throughout the entire quoting process. Very knowledgable, courteous, and was willing to answer all questions and offer suggestions, based on his experience. The quote was the second lowest price of the four we had received.

I picked up the ball once again in mid-April and contacted Sean to ask if they were still willing to do the job and if he would honour the quote provided in September. He was quick to respond, as he had been throughout the quoting experience and the entire project. They would do the job and honour the quote. He came by our house once again the next day, just to re-familiarize himself with everything.

The current COVID-19 situation made scheduling the job a bit uncertain at that time but Sean assured me that they would schedule the job as soon as they could and estimated that it would be done within the first half of May.

True to his word, he contacted me in mid-May to say that they would be arriving in two days to complete the work.

The crew arrived at 7:00am to start prepping. The workers were courteous and the materials that were detailed in the quote were the exact materials delivered - no shortcuts or substitutions. We went with the GAF 50-year product that has the warranty, as I didn't want to have to think about the roof again in my lifetime.

The guys worked hard all day and did an excellent job of prepping the site (including my neighbours on each side - AC's, etc.). It appeared that they did things the right way in their application, which was a big part of what I was looking for, as there had been other roofing companies come though our area over the last two years that were quoting at about 65% of what we paid, but were cutting corners, using inferior products and leaving behind problems for home owners and not returning to fix them. I didn't want any part of that.

The site clean-up afterward was excellent as well. To date I have only found one roofing nail on my property since they finished.

In conclusion, dealing with Sean and The Roofers has left me one-hundred percent satisfied, from first meeting to completion of the job. I would (and will) absolutely recommend them to any of my friends, family or colleagues. If the work holds up, as I fully expect it will, it was as close to a perfect roofing experience as I could have hoped for.

we have an older home that previous owners had placed multiple layers of shingles on. We contacted Sean after being referred to "the Roofers" by family. Sean was prompt, honest, and answered all of our questions. Our roof was completed over a weekend. We ran into a small issue but Sean and his team quickly rectified it. Excellent company that keeps customer service and quality as its priorty. I would recommend Sean and his team to anyone that needs a roof.

The original timing for the job was affected by the pandemic and as soon as work could resume they made sure that the job was scheduled. Awesome job done efficiently and professionally all within one day!

Very impressed by how my whole job was handling. Initial online inquiry was responded to very quickly, with a meeting and detailed info/quote shortly after. They truly tried to help me out by attempting an immediate repair before the proper job could be urgently scheduled-in a few days later. Quality of the the finished job was top-notch.

The Roofers did an excellent job, they were quick and efficient and Sean was great to deal with. There was a slight problem with the gutters and they were quick to rectify the issue with no hassle They also helped my father in-law with a roofing problem caused by terrible previous roofing company. We had originally met Sam at the Home Show in ‘15, we invited him and several other roofers from the show to give us estimates. His price was not the lowest, but personality, integrity, quality and guarantees were all exceptional! We made arrangements for our new roof and were impressed with the timing, coordination and speed of service. Everything was finished as promised! And true to their word they returned for a follow up visit when it was discovered there was an issue with a column on our front porch. We have recently moved to a house which required a new roof. I had “The Roofers” in my contacts and called them for an estimate; I had been given three other suggestions of companies to use, so consequently got four estimates, once again Sam and Sean won out and again they delivered their service promptly and completely within my allotted time frame. Sean was very prompt, thorough and professional in providing a quote, responding to my questions and finalizing a contract. Our roof was re-shingled within the timeframe he estimated, without any surprises, and was completed in a day. The foreman and his crew were courteous and did an excellent job, including answering all my questions and completing a thorough site clean-up. The Roofers had completed work at several homes on my street last year and their work appeared to be very good quality so when it came time to have my roof done I called them for a quote. I found Sean professional and respectful. He wasn't pushy and I liked that they were a local, family run business. We agreed to go forward and when it came time to select roof colour Sean had some very good suggestions. We ended up going with charcoal Timberline HD shingles which come with a 50 year warranty. The install was quick and clean. The on site foreman was able to explain the work and ensured that the site was left clean. I highly recommend The Roofers if you are looking for a professional roofing company. Their price was competitive and they use quality materials.
