We decided to go with finishedbasement.ca after seeing all of the positive reviews, and after getting several quotes from competitors.
It was nice visiting their big showroom in Mississauga to see samples and understand what the finished product would look like.

All of the interactions with the crew, Joe, Natalie, Igor, Igor (electrician) and Vitaliy were great! Everyone was friendly and took the time to make sure all of our questions were answered and we were happy. We ended up with a finished basement exactly how we pictured it.

Even with multiple building inspections, it was still finished in exactly 2 weeks. We had some small issues after it was done and someone was out on the same day to fix it which was amazing. Responses were always fast and they always made sure to address any issues/concerns.

Start to finish this company is the real deal and they did an exceptional job with our basement. Exceeded any expectations we had. The team is extremely professional, organized and efficient. I have never seen a business so well run. If you're looking to finish your basement in a short time with quality results, these are your people - highly recommended. I can’t believe it’s been almost two years since we finished our basement! This review is well overdue. We are extremely happy with our new basement. Not only with the quality of work but with the quality of the people and customer service. From the start Vitaliy, Igor, and Natalie were amazing helping us with our design and finishes. They helped us envision what are basement could be. we were amazed that they were able to get it completed in less then 3 weeks. They were on track with everything and guided us every step of the way. Their crew were friendly and professional. They were respectful of our home and made sure everything was clean when they left. It almost felt like they were part of our extended family! We had a great experience and would highly recommend their service!

Everything was flawless ... from the scheduling to the budget to completion. We are very happy with the quality of workmanship, products and materials used as well as the communication during the reno.

Can’t say enough good things about this company and the team/family that run it. I have never seen such a well organized company; they made the process very simple and we’re transparent every step of the way. The trades were unbelievable- I’ve never seen contractors work so hard and so quickly in my life! Their work was incredible. I would highly recommend them and already have! They finished the job in 2.5 weeks as advertised.

I was hesitant to start a major basement renovation as it's not something I had done solo before. However, I made the best decision choosing Finished Basement! The team was absolutely top notch. Each specialist asked for my vision, provided options, patiently answered questions and kept me informed every step of the way. I was put at ease from the beginning. Their showroom offers a wide variety and ranges of styles to choose from. From my first inquiry call with Vitaliy, to consults with our Contact/Estimator Andrew, to walk through with our Design Consultant Natalie, to Plumber Yuri, to Master Electrician Igor, to Taper Alex and the many tradespeople and technicians, my daughters and I were treated with the utmost respect, professionalism and care by all. Covid protocols were followed consistently, the process was never painful and always consultative.

The end result was beyond my expectations, done in 14 days with the absolute highest standards. The workmanship can be seen in the smallest details to the biggest. I couldn't ask for more and we are so very happy and excited to use our new space! I would wholeheartedly recommend Finished Basement. They truly made this renovation the easiest reno our family has ever done. I can't recommend the FinishedBasement.ca team highly enough. Five years ago they finished the basement of our townhome in north Burlington and completely transformed the space; when we moved to a detached home this spring there was only one company we wanted to finish the basement. We wouldn't hesitate to hire them again. This company is extremely professional -- from initial consultations through to final payment, service is exceptional, always promptly responding to any questions or concerns. The crew shows up on time, always professional and tidy. You always feel like you're in good hands. With this second job, the actual costs were slightly lower than the estimate, and we were promptly paid the credit. The payment schedule is a relief for first-timers, as payments are coordinated with the completion of various stages. E.g. you don't worry about whether they're going to show up to finish any work because you only pay them for what they've done. Not that that would be a concern because they move fast (our unfinished basement was completed in >2 weeks) and know their stuff. The feeling for us was one of getting highly professional and highly skilled contractors at competitive & reasonable rates. This is an awesome team and we tell all of our friends to call them if they need a basement.
