Home inspection

It was our 1st time having a home inspection, we're appreciated of the inspector's professionalism, was thorough, detailed and in depth inspection. Whatever questions we asked, the inspector was able to provide us the informative answers. A full detail report was provided to on the same day. Very efficient & well organized. After inspection of the property , we're much confident to put an offer on it. Thanks again for the inspector coming to help us in a short notice.

First-time home buyer inspection

After living in the house that we had inspected by Accurate Home Inspection, my fiancee and I are very happy to recommend them to our friends and family. The inspector provided a thorough walk through of the property and identified a number of areas that could stand to be improved, while simultaneously noting positive aspects of the 40 year old house. The inspector was diligent in examining the critical aspects of the home and provided a valuable report on each of the systems. The inspector's findings have proven to be accurate and complete over the course of a year and no nasty surprises have materialized, which is exactly what a potential buyer needs in an inspector.

Great service, highly recommended for first home buyers.

I asked the inspector to come to inspect a house that I want to purchase. Was able to get an appointment fairly promptly and the inspection was quite detailed. Inspector noted several things that requires repairs and I obtained separate quotes afterwards to see the cost to have these issue remedied... turned out to be close to $10K! So I didn't go through with the purchase in the end but I think the fee was very reasonable for the service provided and will answer a lot of questions a first home buyer would have.

Home Inspection

This was my first home inspection experience. The inspector was on time, friendly, thorough and honest. The inspector was on time and quite friendly. The inspector gave helpful tips on items that not only needed to be repaired or replaced for safety reasons, but also to help improve the energy efficiency of our new home. We received excellent value from Accurate Home Inspections, and would not hesitate to recommend them to our friends and family.

home inspection

The inspector we hired did a great job. The inspector was at the house and had completed the roof inspection before we arrived. A few damaged shingles were found and the owner got them fixed. There were many minor repairs that the inspector had pointed and out and explained why they needed to be remedied. My wife and I found the inspection to be helpful and valuable for us to make our final decision towards our home purchase.

Home Inspection

I am sorry to say this but I found the experience minimally satisafactory. This is my 2nd inspection and this inspector's report was far, far briefer, included many less photos and we later found several areas that the inspector failed to check, such as the ice machine is broken, the dishwasher not secured, the vacuum outlets not all working, ants in the house, etc. No inspector can find everything but these surface issues should have come up. Over all the inspector was polite, accessable, communicative and friendly but I felt lacked thoroughness in both the services and the report. Particularly when comparing to past inspections I have had. I also dislike the pressure I received to then posting a refferal/rating online. I feel this insistance scews the validity of these sites for the public. Over all the services were not bad per say (as I said minially satisfactory) but would not refer this inspector to any family or friends.

Company Response

Dan, I’m very sorry that you feel the experience was somewhat dissatisfying. I did spend extra time answering questions with you and your family during and after the inspection. In response to the issues that you mentioned, I feel some explanation is warranted: The ice machine: appliances were not checked as part of this home inspection, this is partly due to the fact that an appliance may have worked at the time of the inspection but does not at the time of possession and some appliances are not included in the sale. Dishwasher: Both during the inspection and clearly stated in the report was discussion that most aspects of the kitchen reno were done poorly and unprofessionally. Vacuum outlets: Often electrical and vacuum outlets are blocked by furniture and only a representative sample is checked. Ant activity: Ants are not active in the winter and early spring and evidence of any activity was not visible at the time of the inspection. The purpose of a home inspection is to find major concerns not to make a detailed ‘honey do’ list. I appreciate your honest review and believe that it helps to prove the validity of review websites. We send out an email after the inspection as a means of promoting the business, every review is an opportunity to improve how we serve our clients. I’m sorry that you considered my email request to be pressure; I in no way would want anybody to feel pressured to post a review. Please feel free to call in the future if you have any questions. Thank-you Dan

All of my questions were answered and even took the time to explain everything things at the end of the inspection. The report was presented in a concise and professional layout with the positive attributes, issues and suggested resolutions in detail. Excellent and positive experience!!!
