Sofa

I WILL NEVER EVER SHOP AT WHAT APPEARS TO BE DISASTER STORE.
Firstly, I received defective sofa. As soon as the delivery men take it away I called customer service , I was told they had 1 in stock and that I should receive a call within business days, 2 days for delivery to be scheduled. "I" called 3 business days later because NO CALL was made to me. I was told over the phone that there isn't one in stock and after checking again, that there is but that one is also damaged. They have ordered new one and that I should receive it May 31. Ordered day was May 6. Not only did I wait 7 days for the first delivery but NOW I have to wait another 2 weeks.
At this point I'm disappointed to the point I no longer want the sofas nor do I like the quality of the cushion. BUT**** They will not credit the $1,250 I SPENT. THE "best" the manager could do is CHARGE MEEEE the person who got defective sofa and was told new one will be delivered in 15 days, I need to PAY THEM 10 % for "restocking". In what world does the customer ever treat this manner? HOW can customer receive defective sofa, misinformed me that there is in stock and will be shipped within days only to find out that that is incorrect and now it will be delivered 2 weeks later. I'm taking legal actions against them as soon as my credit card company begin the dispute as well... I will never buy from them again and I will spread the word. What I have witnessed as one of the WORST , WORST, customer service experience. SHAME ON YOU, Ashley Furniture.

Leather sofa

Ashley Furniture store is deceitful, dishonest and do not care about their customers. We were sold a leather sofa that fell apart after one year. We were then told it was not leather and it is expected to fall apart after one year. The seat is cracked and the stuffing is coming out. The leather on the seat has turned from dark brown to a rust color. We went in to the store in person to discuss the matter, made several phone calls to the customer service department as well as numerous emails and photos. This company is not interested in their customers and are selling defective products. Do not shop at this store!!

BEWARE: They only care about making the sale!!!!!!

Worse service ever - beware FREE SHIPPING = assembly required!!! And when I said I was not told of this - their response was that I can return it for a restocking fee of 25%!!!!!! And this is from their customer care - should be called "customers we DON'T CARE"!

Buyer Beware

I am writing this in the hopes I can save others the same horrific customer service I have had to endure.
I ordered a simple coffee table from Ashley. Something one would consider a reasonably short order to fill. That couldn't be further from the truth. After placing an order and having the full amount charged to my credit card, the last screen on the order page says 'an order confirmation is on its way to your email address. Simple? Wrong.....4 days....no confirmation. I thought I had better call Ashley and try and get a confirmation of when I could expect them to fulfil my order. Thank goodness I had the foresight to do a screenshot of the confirmation page because that would be the only sort of confirmation I would ever receive. After finally getting through to customer service on the phone, spelling my name a minimum of 5 times and giving my address at least that many times, the incoherent mumbling from the associate on the other end of my phone was indicating that they had no clue where my order was....when it may or may not be delivered or in fact whether anything would ever be sent. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was immediately passed on. It was clear first level customer service just wanted to get rid of any sort of problems. After all who in the world would actually expect answers when they call in????? The so called supervisor Travis was very smug. It was impossible to make him understand that when you take somebody's money that they may expect something in return. In his opinion there was no actual problem because he couldn't see the credit card charge on his screen so how can it exist. The charge showing on my credit card bill shows otherwise! I told him I have proof. He didn't care. His solution.... "I can pass this on to our web team". OK....I will hold. According to Travis the people who take your money don't have a phone and can't be reached. The best they can do is pass on a message and hope somebody contacts me. Great job Travis!!! It's good to know that the money the company spends to bring in customers is wasted by your lack of any sort of customer service knowledge.
So, to summarize, Ashley furniture has a showroom filled with 'just OK' quality goods. No you can't take it home because they don't stock anything. You can give them some money online but beware, they have a team of specially trained customer service people to give you a lot of excuses why they need your money but don't actually feel obligated to give you a product in return.
No....this isn't just a random complaint. Read the rest of the reviews other customers like me have given not only here but virtually anywhere you can search for Ashley reviews online.
To Ashley management.....good luck with the numbers game you are playing. Unhappy customers mean your eventual demise.
Again, BUYERS BEWARE!

Bad customer service and not great quality

We ordered all our appliances and our sectional from Ashley Furniture on Regent. The sales people in the store were pretty good, got free shipping to our house but our first dealing with Ashley Furniture Customer Service was with the sectional we bought. When it was delivered, the pillows were all flat. I called them and explained. They said they would open a work order and ensure I get notified within 48hrs about a time when a service person can come. Well 48hrs past and still no call. I had to repeatedly call and almost yell for someone to finally come out which took 3 weeks. The service person was nice but all he did was put more stuffing in. Its been 2 years and the sectional cushions are pretty much flat. Now our microwave has gone and dealing with them again. I called them Feb 15th and they created a work order and it's now April 1st and I still don't have it back!! I have complained, called repeatedly and they are working on it but why does it take a month and a half!! They just keep giving me the same excuse over and over. I'm just exhausted dealing with them. Needless to say I will never buy from Ashley again nor will I ever tell my family and friends to buy from them. We even got the extended warranty on our appliances thinking that would help but no.

Kitchen Up Grade

I bought a kitchen table set December 31, 2016
They had delivered the set on January 13,2017
When they assembled the table, a hole on the top table showed
I had to signed the papers with a special notes regarding the defect table
Customer services reach me about half an hour after deliverymen's left.
They told me that their policy is to do not replace the defect table but to send me an ébéniste to fill the hole and repaint the patch
Table will get fix on February the 17,2017 ! a month later than the delivery which that mean I will have to start to pay the table before it will get fix!
They were no way to push the first payment after repair. They offer me a gift certificate of $50. What do you want me to buy at that expensive store for $50!!!
Garanty of the product is one year, what will be happen in five year after few wipeout on the top table? is the filling will remain and painting will fade???
Not impress at all

Poor customer service

We bought a Ashely sofa and love seat one and half years ago from a retailer that has now gone under. The sofa is now broken and Ashely has gotten back to me and said they can't do anything about it. So we have to live with a sofa that we paid good money for that is of poor quality and broken.

Delivery team/Customer Service team

I have to let everyone about the worst customer service from a company I have ever had.

I have just built a brand new house, the house is a month old, so everything is brand new, including the flooring.

We ordered a couch and washer/dryer through Ashley Furniture store in Sunridge, Calgary.

We had the couch and washer/dryer delivered on Saturday 5th November.

The couch was delivered and we love it.

The washer and dryer are a different story.

Firstly the delivery guy says to sign a waiver so that when he connects the taps up if there are any water leaks Ashley Furniture are not liable, so I have to ask who the hell is? Obviously the delivery guy is not a qualified plumber and probably shouldn't be installing washers and dryers if he doesn't know how. I also fail to see how you are not liable if anything does happen, considering your delivery driver installed it and I had nothing to do with it.

But the real problem is, the delivery driver took one massive chunk out of my brand new floor, as above I said I built a brand new house and everything is brand new. He also mentioned that as it is lino in my laundry it might scratch, which I am okay with a scratch. However there is not a scratch in my floor, there is a massive hole.

I have attached a photo of the hole in my flooring. Does that look like a scratch to anyone? Anyone?

We called on Saturday November 5th, and was told that it would be handled.

We heard nothing back so we called again today (Monday 7th November). And was told that Ashley Furniture will do absolutely nothing about it as we signed a waiver to say all damage is not your fault. So who's fault exactly is that big chunk out of my floor? So obviously your delivery guys are not qualified to connect up washers and dryers, they are also not qualified to deliver without damaging a brand new house.

I am of the opinion you can come back and take your washer/dryer out of my house and you can fix my brand new floor. This is the worst customer service I have ever come across, with your attitude being 'yeah we made a mess of your brand new house, but hey, it's not our problem or fault, it's just too bad'.

This is not the attitude to have to be a good/reliable business. And essentially it is your fault and responsibility to make sure that your customers are happy and not just blow it off as a 'too bad so sad' scenario.

I have been back and forth with customer service who are still sticking behind their brick wall of 'damage waiver signed, sooo sad for you', I also note that the delivery driver made amendments to the damage waiver without my knowledge and signature to say that I was aware/okay with the changes that have been made. So essentially he had my signature and amended it without me knowing about the changes. I should of been advised of the changes and another of my signatures next to the changes, stating that I acknowledge the changes. He also left my house rather quickly with this waiver that Ashley Furniture keep hiding behind.

From my limited knowledge of the law and how 'official contracts' work, and Ashley Furniture are using this as an official contract, if you make changes both parties need to sign/acknowledge these changes, you can't make changes to cover incompetent staff and then stick behind it.

I am still fighting with customer service about the damage, talking to different people but getting the same 'we don't really care about the damage that we have caused' attitude.

Everyone stay away from Ashley Furniture, they don't care about you, your house or anything, they are the worst customer service business I have ever dealt with.

Sectional and Chair

When we received the living room furniture they delivered part of the sectional set in the wrong colour. We had to wait for the correct colour for an additional couple of weeks after the initial delivery which took over one month to begin with. We were very disappointed with the quality of the furniture there is absolutely no support in the furniture the stuffing they used is lumpy and not enough. We called and complained after the correct colour was delivered but we were told it was more than 48 hours and there was nothing we could do. I just spent Three thou sand dollars on sub quality furniture I would not recommend Ashley HomeStore to anyone.

Poor quality and poor service

Very poor service for a very poor product. I ordered a bedroom which arrived with wrong parts and some damaged parts. It took exactly 30 days for the replacement to arrive, when the replacement arrived it was damaged. The delevery team is clueless, some the damages in the original order were damaged by the delevery team. After speaking to a manager, the only thing there were able to do is cancel the order.
Save your money and stay away from Ashley. Very unprofessional for an overpriced product and services.
