What started as a brown water stain on our living room ceiling 3 weeks ago turned into a black mold disaster in the closet of our bedroom once we discovered the extent of the problem. The first roofer we contacted was prepared to do a "bandaid" job for a lot of money but unable or unwilling to give us his estimate in writing. Since we were upfront with him we wanted the same in return. We looked further and found Homestars which led us to Elvis. He had excellent reviews but even better were the educational videos which he has made. When we phoned we got straight through to him (which we love!) and he accomodated our schedules to come a long way from the west end (we are in the Beaches) for his assesment. Well a "bandaid" would not have fixed the problem- he was very clear about it, matter-of-fact about what it would cost- and what it would cost us in the near future if we did not fix it now. Of course we hired him. Afterwards he came when he said he would, did what he said he would do and all for the price he originally gave us. Plus, he installed a new vent, a new downspout, cleaned our eavestroughs, cleaned the vines from our chimney and removed an unwanted aerial- all without additional cost!We can happily say that "what you see and hear is what you get" and that is rare these days. All was meticulously cleaned up. We would like to make special mention of Mrs. Benoit- a very valuable member of the crew-all of whom we did not meet.We are guaranteed not to leak for 15 years and we know it to be true. Come on down to the Beaches Mr. and Mrs. Benoit and children for some fun - if you ever get time off!

I am very satisfied and would highly recommend Elvis to complete a roof repair. We had a leak in our roof that was coming from a hole in the flange that surrounds the plumbing vent stack. I called Elvis based on the recommendations from the home star site and he was able to come to the house the next day. He was very professional and was able to identify the problem and replace the flange even though the weather was miserable and raining outside. He even took a picture of the problem prior to the repair. Elvis was quick to replace the flange and also to point out some potential issues that will require maintenance/replacement in the spring. I was very impressed with his honesty and his prices were very good. He even noticed a problem with another flange that required a repair and he replaced it at no additional charge. Thanks again Elvis, I'll definitely give you a call in the spring.

Elvis and his coworker came earlier than expected which was great and he came all the way from the west end. He was very personable and pleasant and explained everything. He even showed pictures of what the damage was and what the repair looked like afterwards. They even hammered down my loose eaves without charging - how cool was that?

I will definately recommend him to my family and friends. It's tough to impress me and they did! Great job!

Even though this is an old review, I am changing my rating from a 9 to a 4 because Elvis wrote a scathing response to my giving him a 9 instead of a 10 and insulted me and all of Scarborough. Even though the service was good, I would not recommend him because of his poor attitude.

We had a shingle blow off our roof and a bucket in our bedroom collecting water. Not fun stuff. After contacting Elvis he was prompt in returning my call and did the job in a flash. I would recommend him to anyone and I will.

Fast and efficient service from Elvis, I called him this morning, within 1 hour he was on the roof, replaced missing shingles and fixed the lashing with professionalism. Excellent service. He is my roofing specialist now. Job well done. Thank you

Elvis was absolutely professional and thorough with his work. He came over on such short notice and was able to find AND fix my leak while he was there in no time at all! He explained what was happening and how he was going to fix it and provided warranty for the service! I would recommend him to anyone who needs a roof repair. Job well done and done quickly.

I Met Elvis and his wife by chance in the parking lot of my Drs office knowing my porch roofs needed maintenance. First thing Elvis did was take my number down then come by and visit me for a quote.. Meeting Elvis i knew he was honest and a man with integrity. He gave me a quote, and the same evening spoke with my wife and called him to arrange job for Wednesday 10am. He showed up on time did extra caulking fixed my siding my eavestroughs; just above and beyond. Am I HAPPY to say the least ABSOLUTELY He is meticulous honest and doesn't believe in ripping off the homeowner.

I can say he is the BEST OF THE BEST. Elvis DOES CARE. He fixes it right so you won't have future problems. My hats off to you Elvis for being a rare breed in an industry that's full of black eyes.

The job was done well and quickly for the price quoted. We thought we needed the entire roof replaced and were told only the separate section ovr the garage needed work.

Elvis is the roof-whisperer. I had a mystery leak coming in from the roof (3 years old), and after unsuccessfully repairing it myself with some can-of-spray-of-sorts, I read through the reviews on Homestars and decided to call Elvis. Since the roof is pretty close to new, and no visible evidence of a probable cause, Elvis patiently assessed the area and made a professional guesstimate on the issue. Sure enough, after he carefully peeled back some shingles in the valley area, the nails were found rusty (evidence of water coming through). He thoroughly explained the cause to me, provided a solution, and repaired it immediately with materials he had on hand. He even provided a 5 year warranty on the repair! Happy to report that we are leak-free ever since. He is like the Mike Holmes of roofs, except that he can "do it right" with a realistic, affordable solution, rather than tear down your whole roof. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
