GMG Fence & Decks

Just had my fence completed. It took them almost 2 months to finish when I signed the contract. The fence cost $24/linear foot for a privacy fence with 6x6 post (no scallops or lattace). I will have to go back and redo certin areas of the fence. GMG is lacking "Attention to details" such as using a proper level. I didn't find the 8" level used to be effective. You can tell that the fence is not straight just by looking at it.

Also my one side of the fence was measuered incorrectly and is not sitting on the property line. This was mentioned to GMG 2 weeks before completeion. GMG's repsponse was the post for the gate was the only one off the mark because they hit a big rock and managed to get the post beside it. This translated to a loss of 4". I wish GMG could have calld me about this before placing the post. I would have had the hole moved further down a few feet.

Finally it bothered me that a nail gun wasn't used for framing. That would have made a huge difference with keeping the framing straight and shortened the time to complete the work.

In conclusion my experience was not a good one. I would have perfered to have a Perfect Post Hole come and set the post and do the work myself. Even though GMG's pricing was good, the quaity of work and lack of "Attention to detail" get's a failing grade.

i am writhing this because GMG Fence did my fence and my whole neightbourhood we were really pleased with our choice. hes a happy guy and he bring his enrge with him, he does the job fast and well done. I had my fence done about mabye 10 years ago by them and ive just moved and hes well be doing it for me agian this year.. they have been bussiness for over 12 years right now. you cant say he doesnt know what hes doing because he does and if has to push your due date back because of the rain you have realize that he does have other comsters and the due date well be pused back for them to. that why it tkes him longer to get there, he even calls you to say sorry and lets you know the new due date besause he might need to finish a job somewhere else he has a big compony and is really bussy now.. and he doenst have to push your due date the job well take mabye 2-3 days depend on how big the job is or how many house. he doesnt charge for anything extra beside the door which everyone does..now there other companys because ive call a couple people and they charge you for everything for there garbage they make they charge us so they can move it( stuip).

after 10 years i lost he number went on google to find it and i saw your coment you left. i dont think this right he has made hes company so big and has done so much and for you to seat there and say stuff just cuz this and this happenend you know as so as you call and tell him without saying anything rather he is bussy or not the next day he will come and please you.

you must be other new fencing company thats tryint to get work and if not then just let it be cuz am sure it couldnt of went that bad or bad at all.

We had our fence installed last summer. After negotiating with several contrators, we chose GMG FENCE. The price is good,only $13/ft and the material is good too. The only problem is we waited for over a month to have the project stared. But it took only two days for them to finish the whole thing. If you are not looking for high-end fence, GMG is not a bad choice.
