Guns N Hoses Roofing, Exteriors & Insulation

Did a giant reno on a 1956 bungalow with a general contractor, and thought everything was good ... until the freakishly cold weather this winter. Water marks on my living room ceiling and swelling of my brand new kitchen cabinetry = ATTIC RAIN! AAAAARGH! Neil was HIGHLY recommended by a friend who had used his services on several properties, so gave him a call. He explained every detail of what was wrong, what needed to be fixed, options, prices and ALL potential additional problems that could pop up. Neil was HONEST, genuine (he really does give a rip!), prompt, tidy, efficient, hard-working as well as personable. He SHOWED me every step, took photos, phoned me at day's end with the progress report (had evacuated x 24 hours due to spray foam installation) to assure me all was well/on time. The job was finished EARLY by several hours. I cannot say enough great things about Guns n Hoses.

I enjoyed working with this company to replace my roof. They gave me an honest assessment, clearly explaining what needed to be done and a detailed invoice for my insurance company. The individuals doing the work were professional and personable from the shinglers to the eavestrough folks.The cost was on par with other quotes I had obtained, but I went with Guns N Hoses because of the people. I felt I could trust them. My roof looks great, and once work was started, it was done in a few days and the clean up was amazing. I didn't find anything left behind!

The response to an online request for a quote was immediate and conducted within a few days. We were given a summary of the condition of the attic insulation, to what level of improvement we could expect in the ‘R’ value and other services GnH offered.

We needed new bathroom ceiling fans as they were close to 30 years old, so asked that they be replaced while the crew was in the attic.

A date and time was provided for the work to be completed upon acceptance to the quote, and the completed on that date within the time frame initially provided.

What made this such a great experience was the character and professionalism of all the people we dealt with. So often with projects like this things go south leaving the home owner with regrets. None here with GnH. They took great care with their equipment in our home, completed the work on time and even did the paperwork for our rebate.

We contacted GNH for a quote - Neil contacted us, inspected our house & garage insulation - made recommendations for upgrade - we agreed on a price & time frame - Neil & his hard working helper arrived as scheduled / promised - insulation was installed in a timely manner - I was very happy with the installation & clean-up - our attic now has a R52 insulating value (confirmed by several 'left in place' depth measurement sticks - a very good indication of the overall / uniform depth of the installed insulation - it looks like a total 'pink' blanket, from side to side & end to end - I am sure we will notice the difference, both in comfort & energy consumption - I highly recommend GNH Insulation - Thanks for a job 'well done', Neil!

Removed old wood chips from 1964 so I could repair wiring and add new lights. Originally planned 2 weeks between vacuum and new insulation and Neil was able to reschedule us when we found more electrical issues than planned. Both times onsite when promised, and they were clean and quiet in spite of the work they had to do. I looked at several companies to do this work and Neil took the time to detail out what needed to be done as well as offer some recommendations on better ventilation for the fans.

We had GnH do some work for us a year ago and were very satisfied so this winter when we had ice issues we had them in to do work on our roof and attic. They were very professional and job was well done!

Neil who provided the service and his team provided quick efficient service from the quote stage to the final result. Follow up queries I had were addressed quickly and to my satisfaction. I would recommend them.

After viewing our attic, Neil indicated it was a disaster so I asked how it should be fixed and he itemized each component to correct the problem. The work was reviewed with me at each stage and done on time. Great cleanup after each day's work. We look forward to seeing the results of the work.

We had our roof installed in 2012 by Guns N Hoses and have had nothing but problems and concerns since. They made multiple mistakes on our roof and when approached and questioned, seem to turn a blind eye.
Guns N Hoses is not a premium roofing company. They will meet minimum requirements only to avoid being accountable.
Do not be fooled by their pricing. It seems they like to undercut their competitors to earn your business but will not be available should you have future concerns.

Let us be the guinea pig for your home. Learn from our mistake and chose a different company. For the price difference of a few thousand dollars, peace of mind is far more important

Had GnH insulate over garage- had to cut in access hatches and crawl in to install insulation stops at eves.
Job was much more work than originally estimated - installer Neil was creative in solving problem of hpw to complete and was very professional throughout. Cleaned up site before leaving.
Would recommend GnH.
