T.J. Fine Upholstering

The re-upholstery of my dining room chairs (8) and Queen Anne chair have exceeded my expectations. Not only was the pricing reasonable but also the turnaround was much quicker than I had expected. The workmanship was excellent and I am extremely pleased with the finished product. I would not hesitate to recommend their services.

I would highly recommend TJ for the turnaround time, the quality of the job and customer service. I had asked for a swatch of fabric so that I could use it to find matching fabric for a wing chair. When the couch was delivered, Milton had forgotten to bring the swatch. He returned a few days later with it.

My house was going on market. We needed few chairs upholstered for Show House. Milton picked up the chairs and had them done in two days. The workmanship was excellent. Milton was very professional and friendly. I highly recommend TJ Fine Upholstering to anyone who wants a really good job done. Thank ypu Milton.

Milton called me back within 5 minutes and arranged to come over the very next day and gave a very fair quote for restuffing the five back cushions of our sectional couch. I had not had any upholstery done in the past so i was a little concerned about the ultimate product. I found TJ Milton on line and decided to try him. He was very personable and brought the sample products I asked him to. I started with the love seat and was so impressed with the outcome that I asked him to redo a chair in the same fabric to create a flow. and a match. I then gave him a seatee which just needed to have the cushion replaced which he will do using the same fabric that is already on the seatee now.
He picked up the couch and delivered it back on time as promised. The same with the chair. He now has a client for life.

We wanted to have our living room sofa re-upholstered to recreate the original look (we could not find a sofa anywhere that matched the modern design, so restoring was our only option).

We interviewed 2 companies. One played games from the start ("...but of you sign right now, we can do it for 25% less; and if you sign right now we can do it within 4 weeks because the shop is empty..., etc.).

The second company we interviewed was TJ Fine Upholstering, specifically Milton. From the get-go, Milton gave us a fair price and did not try to pressure us. The actual quote was lower than the "best price if you buy now" form the other supplier, but not so low as to make us uncomfortable. Milton came back a second time so we could have time to make a decision and he brought additional swathes. He assured us we would have our Sofa within 2 weeks.

In fact, he delivered the sofa 5 days after taking it away. The work is excellent -- however, there were a couple of minor problems that I pointed out -- he came back 3 days later and fixed the problems on-site.

I could not imagine how an upholstery experience could be any better!

I found a french provincial couch at the Salvation Army for a bargain. I researched upholsterers, got a few quotes and TJ's came in at the best price. Milton (the owner) went to the Salvation Army, picked up the couch, then came to my house and picked up the fabric and paint swatches I chose. He sent me pictures of the couch at various stages of the process (completely stripped down to the frame) and 2 weeks later he delivered the couch and it is exactly how I envisioned it! TJ's was nothing but professional, courteous and offered the best customer service and price.

From the first contact with Milton I was impressed with his passion & caring, considerate customer service. Without getting into too much detail, Milton surpassed our expectations of workmanship, material quality, price and service. I look forward to doing business with him again.

milton took my 40 year old arm chairs and remodeled them to appear exactly like the picture from an upscale store. Regarding my dining room chairs, he guided me to put a contrasting trim which looked great!
