If I could give my PLANiT Builders experience a 15/10, I most definitely would. All thanks to my site supervisor, Patrick Card. He was always very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I have never dealt with anyone so attentive to my needs. He even persuaded me to wall mount my TV to maximize the tight area that I had to work with. He never hesitated to meet with me to discuss and rectify my concerns. At the end of each meeting he made sure that I was extremely satisfied with the progress of the basement. He also took the time out of his busy day to complete some of the touch ups to keep everything right on schedule. Patrick always kept his word and did an excellent job of tying up loose ends. Our experience with Planit Builders was a pleasant one. We had considered developing our basement for a couple years now, and one day their pamphlet arrived on our door. We gave them a call and had an estimator come in the following week. Don Spencer was great to deal with, and was committed to gaining our business. Steve Belanger was a great site supervisor, very knowledgeable, willing to help out any way he could, and on top of contractors and progress of the project to ensure a timely finish. We would most definitely recommend their services. Our basement was completed on time, and the quality was exceptional. We are very happy with the final product. Thanks for the great work!

Before hiring Planit Builders to develop our basement we had a few other general contractors come to do estimates for us. We have a fairly small, walkout basement and it is a fairly odd shape. However, our goal was to have a bathroom, a proper bedroom and a family room/rec room. Another thing that was important to us was to change the basement door out so that it was a proper French door (with both doors able to open up to create a double wide opening to the backyard).
Before selecting PLANiT Builders we were told things like “you don’t have room for a bedroom” or “French doors are out of your budget.”
In contrast, when Sonny came to do our estimate, he came with solutions. He listened to what we wanted, took one look around and started making suggestions. Had we thought about moving the plumbing so the bathroom could be in a more optimal position? What about turning the closet sideways so we could make the bedroom fit? You want to change the doors? Sure, no problem! By the time he left, we were feeling uplifted and excited about what our basement could become. However, after the previous comments from the other GC’s we were a little hesitant to believe that they could follow through with what they promised...but they did! A week early. And at a very reasonable cost.

Speaking of cost, I really liked that you knew upfront how much you were going to pay for the work performed. With the other GC’s, we were given a very loose figure as an estimate. This made me quite uneasy since one little hiccup could derail them and result in a huge unexpected cost to us. Other than a few minor changes that we made to our plan before we approved the drawings (i.e. adding pot lights and a dimmer switch), our cost paid was the amount Sonny quoted the first day he was here. Talk about stress free!

I also liked that Planit Builders really takes ownership of the entire job. There entire team (including the contractors they hire) work together to rectify any problems that they encounter and ultimately make sure that the job is done right.

It is clear that Planit Builders top priority is customer service as they truly do strive to make you happy. They asked for feedback regularly, and immediately took action if something could be done better. Beau was excellent at getting back to us in a timely manner and kept us in the loop at all times.

Overall, we had an excellent experience with Planit Builders and I would recommend them to anyone who wants great service, a stress free experience and a quality product for a reasonable price.

I am delighted with my finished basement and the process of getting the job done. The detailed invoice and the companies experience meant I knew exactly what to expect- and thats exactly what I got. Beau and Dave were reliable, accessible, completely trustworthy. I was always well informed personally and via Builderstend. They responded promptly to any concerns and resolved them all.

We spent quite a bit of time researching and investigating different companies to develop our unfinished basement and finally agreed to go with Planit Builders. We are the original owners of our home and had it built for us 10 years ago and finally decided it was time to finish the basement and from this experience we had a good idea of what we were looking for in a developer to finish our basement. Steve Belanger was assigned as the site supervisor to our project and we were extremely impressed from the beginning with Steve's knowledge and expertise not only with the construction process, but, also being able to add his own ideas to improve the design from the original blueprints in subtle ways that we would never have thought of to change. This guy is an EXPERT!

The only reason why we feel that we cannot give a rating of 10/10 on "how satisfied are you with this company," was our experience with our sales representative. There were a few items that came up that we had to remind our sales rep of promises guaranteed that were attempted to be added as extra costs to our final invoice that we understood was already included. When we addressed our concerns any issues were quickly acknowledged and taken care of, but, while dealing with these issues it left a feeling of frustration.

We would not hesitate to use Planit Builders again for any future project and would highly recommend their services to anyone out there who is looking to take them on as a contractor.

After my husband passed away, for safety reasons I wanted a garage.From day one I was very happy with Planit Builders. When Don Spencer came to give me an estimate he was great he made me feel very comfotable with going with Planit Builders. They had all the things that I was looking for like WCB and BBB. When building started the one thing that made me know I went with the right company was when they cut down my fence they carefully took down my birdhouse with the birds still in it and placed it on my shed so the birds could fine it. When I started working with Steve Belanger he was great. He always called to let me know what was going on, like who would be coming over. Before my garage was finished a hail storm hit, I didn`t have insurace yet, so I was very upset. Well I called Steve and he told me not to worry, he would take care of it. Well he did fix every thing for me. Steve just went out of his way to help me. When I went to pay my bill my visa would only do 5000.00 at a time. So Bethany Grant took the payments over a few days. It was much easier for me. THANK YOU EVERYONE.

We had our basement built by Planit Builders and our construction supervisor is Steve Belanger. We had glitches at first with this builder but because Steve was patient, professional and accommodating with our needs and questions, we had put our trust on him in making what we wanted for our basement. Moreover, Steve is very hardworking person, he caters to our inquiries even during his time offs. He makes sure that jobs are done on time and he responds very quickly. He was pleasant to talk to and will get back to you as soon as he can. If we are going to do our garage next time, we definitely hire them again... Kudos to you! :)

Our little basement is done and I would like to congratulate PLANiT Builders for pulling an awesome job! Quality is great, and with wonderful staff and competent contractors, what more could you ask for? Our kids love the additional space in our house.
