Royal York Roofing changed the roof on my house and proved to be very professional company. My roof was rather steep and had several layers of shingles. They managed to do all work in one day without any damage to my garden and my new deck. The cleanup was very good. I’m happy with my choice and would like to recommend this company to anyone.

I am not sure if I am happy with the work or not... the roof does not leak, but it did not leak to begin with. We had it replaced before any damage could be done. But, there were good and bad points about dealing with RYR. While working, the crew broke my satellite dish... the crew was unapologetic and said it was a risk that I took when I did not remove the dish before they began work... but, the owner had it repaired within 24 hours. So, that was annoying, but taken care of quickly. Then, I was given attitude when I wanted to go up on the roof to see the work. I paid a lot of money, yes, I wanted to see the work. My husband is afraid of heights and I seemed to get some attitude about going up there. The crew never talked to me, they always went to my husband... meanwhile, I was the one that had gotten all the quotes and chose the roofing company, but still, the "man of the house" gets the respect. Once I was up on the roof, I noticed that they had not installed any of the 3 roof vents we had paid for. They played dumb at first, but again this was resolved, so other than annoying me and taking more time, it worked out. But, I made the mistake of not going back up to check again that all 3 vents were installed. I have recently been up into my attic and from what I can tell, they only installed 1 of the 3 vents we paid for. It has now been well over a year since we had the work done, so I am not sure I will get them back here to compete the work or not... hopefully they will resolve this issue quickly as well. We are also getting some ice damming, but I am not sure if this is an issue with the roof or the poor insulation in my attic, so I can not comment on that yet. Overall, not a bad experience, but the most annoying part was that I had to point out that they did not complete the work that we paid for. My main piece of advise for anyone hiring ANY roofer... get up there and check out the work. You are going to pay a lot of money, make sure they complete the work properly.

Royal York Roofing is indeed a top-notch company to deal with. Bruce Windsor came to our home to provide what turned out to be competitive quote and some excellent advice on what is the best roofing system for the structure of our home. He was knowledgeable and willing to answer all our questions, he promptly answered calls and emails and gave our roofing job his full attention all the way through. The installation crew are incredibly efficient and skillful at what they do. They are mindful of nearby structures (i.e. the neighbour's pool, shed, shrubbery) and were very conscientious and respectful of property and about cleaning up when the job was done. What makes Royal York Roofing outstanding here is despite a mishap on our job, management and crew were responsive enough to correct the issue immediately. We were beyond satisfied with their attention, and professionalism at all stages of replacing our roof and eave trough system. Royal York is the company to go with. We highly recommend Bruce and the Crew!

We had few shingles and piece of chimney flashing blown off by the storm few weeks ago. I called a number of companies to request repairs and decided to go with Royal York Roofing as they were reasonably priced and seemed professional. They came next day and did all repairs as promised. Royal York was professional all the way through and I would recommend them to anyone having roofing problems.

The roof of my house was quiet old, and it needed to be repaired and fixed. When my fried advised with this company, I knew that they would do a great job. They repaired my roof in the time frame that was promised. Afterwards, they have cleaned up all of the bits, and me and my family were satisfied with the services. I recommend this company to whoever has a leaking roof. Great job guys.

I had five roofers give me quotes, three of them recommended by Homestars. Royal York Roofing sent Bruce Windsor to work up a quote. He sat down with me and clearly explained what our roof needed, and why our roof needed it. Another roofer had suggested that I needed X, Y and Z as well: when I asked Bruce about X, Y and Z, he explained why these things were really not necessary. I remember him saying, "I could add that work to your quote and make more money, but I really don't think it's necessary." I always think that someone is honest when they turn work down. The quote was not the cheapest of the five quotes (which ranged from $3000 to $17000), but it was both reasonable, and comprehensively explained. The workers came to do the work while my family was away: even though at some points they found some surpirses (seven layers of shingles in one section), the total charge was exactly as originally quoted. My wife and I are extremely happy with the results.

We had Royal York Roofing replace the roof on our Semi when it began leaking. The job was done quickly (they started almost right away) and cleanly with minimal disruption to our lives.

The best part was that Bruce explained everything clearly and, unlike other companies that quoted the job, didn't try to scare us and run up the cost.

I found Bruce and team delivered an excellent service for the roofing job. Bruce was able to coordinate the project within 2 days to accommodate my request. There were 7 to 8 people in the crew for the day. They were efficient and they did a good job cleaning up around my swimming pool. I really like the choice of shingles (Certain Teed) they recommended as well.

RYR had very good ratings everywhere we looked. They're salesman seemed professional. We chose them over competing bids. First day they were supposed to come I took the day off work because they only access is through the house. I was told they would start at 7am. At 11 I called the office since there was no sign of them. I was told they rescheduled until the next day and someone should have called to let me know. They never called. Second day (another day off work) 7am start, 10:30 they finally arrived. They did not have the proper equipment so they only did a little bit of work and left. Third day (another day off work for me) they ran into problems that they weren't prepared for and couldn't finish the work. Pretty much the same thing happened for the next three visits which were a week apart. On the 4th visit they melted the vinyl siding with the torch and were not about to do anything about it. After 5 visits (5 weeks, 5 days off work for me) they were finally done a very mediocre job. Until last week when the downspout fell off....Did I mention in response to this review the manager Pavel offered me $500 to take down the review? Very trustworthy company
