M3 Design Group - Factory Direct Shutters, Blind, Shades

We have been so lucky that we found Mike (M3) through Homestars. Mike came to our house with samples. After a detailed consultation, Mike provided me with different scenarios at very reasonable prices. I had consulted with other 4 companies before talking to Mike. We decided that Mike's recommendation was the best from all perspectives. Mike moved forward quickly and ensured the shutters were installed within the agreed time frame. When I came home on the installation day, I was totally amazed by the beautiful shutters. My kitchen looks completely different now. I recommend Mike to everyone without any hesitation. I found M3 (Mike) on Homestars and reached out to him for quote and install of shutters for our house (3 large windows). Mike contacted me quickly, asked for some rough measurements, and gave me a ballpark cost for budget, which was great. Mike then came out (to Burlington!) and brought samples and finalized measurements. Within two weeks, Mike was back for install which went perfectly, despite a few obstacles. We have used Mike from M3 Design Group in the past when we first moved into our house several years ago to replace a number of temporary blinds that were still in place. We called Mike again a few weeks ago to replace some "trim to fit" plastic blinds that were still in the living room/dining room area. Mike was quick to return our phone calls and came within a few days to give us an estimate. Once the shutters were ready, he was able to accommodate our schedule and do an installation on a Sunday morning. The shutters look great and make the room so much more appealing! I would recommend Mike to anyone who is looking to install wood shutters in their house.

The shutters were well made, they work wonderfully and most importantly, they look fantastic. This is our first home and Mike helped make our vision for our home a reality. I came to Mike at M3 Designs with a very specific request which I was having great difficulty filling elsewhere: Build custom wood shutters to the specifications I had in mind, but also stain them to match my existing wood windows & trim.

This may sound straightforward enough, but many of the companies I contacted in the GTA wouldn't even consider doing a custom stain - the general rule is that you are forced to pick from a handful of colours and hope you can find a close match.

Mike not only graciously offered to build and stain to match, but he was extremely professional and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. I fully realize I am a picky customer - I used to do wood working myself, so I've got an eye for quality and am not easily impressed. Mike was true to his word and created beautiful shutters for the entire front of my 100+ year old heritage home, including a very small awning window which was matched perfectly to the others.

The most amazing part of the entire experience to me was that Mike patiently listened to my concerns regarding the design and type of construction I was hoping for, especially a precise match of the stain, and even offered me a discount as I provided him with some leftover I had previously custom ordered to build my own window trim! At the end of it all he actually ended up customizing his own stain which could be sprayed onto the shutters, and didn't even end up using my own - which was promptly returned and the discount honoured nonetheless! Talk about going the extra mile to make sure your customer is satisfied.

I can't say enough about Mike and his shutters - you will not be disappointed if you choose his company. He maintained contact without me throughout the process and provided an exceptional product at a fraction of the price compared to other local suppliers.

The back of our house gets direct sunlight all afternoon so we needed to put in California Shutters to help block it out...it has been over six years and they look as good today as the day they were installed! Absolutely great product and workmanship! We will be putting in more shutters and would not consider going anywhere else than with M3 Design Group.

Mike was great to work with and his workmanship is excellent because we had several windows that were not straight and he was able to fix the problem and making all the shutters look nice and clean. The quality of the shutters are excellent and the price is unbeatable. I will definitely recommend him to all my friend.

The product seems to be of good quality (installed today). Mike did a good job of measuring and returned to do the installation. The installation went very well, fast and clean. The price was excellent I am very pleased with the look and will definitely recommend the company
