M3 Design Group - Factory Direct Shutters, Blind, Shades

I came to Mike at M3 Designs with a very specific request which I was having great difficulty filling elsewhere: Build custom wood shutters to the specifications I had in mind, but also stain them to match my existing wood windows & trim.

This may sound straightforward enough, but many of the companies I contacted in the GTA wouldn't even consider doing a custom stain - the general rule is that you are forced to pick from a handful of colours and hope you can find a close match.

Mike not only graciously offered to build and stain to match, but he was extremely professional and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. I fully realize I am a picky customer - I used to do wood working myself, so I've got an eye for quality and am not easily impressed. Mike was true to his word and created beautiful shutters for the entire front of my 100+ year old heritage home, including a very small awning window which was matched perfectly to the others.

The most amazing part of the entire experience to me was that Mike patiently listened to my concerns regarding the design and type of construction I was hoping for, especially a precise match of the stain, and even offered me a discount as I provided him with some leftover I had previously custom ordered to build my own window trim! At the end of it all he actually ended up customizing his own stain which could be sprayed onto the shutters, and didn't even end up using my own - which was promptly returned and the discount honoured nonetheless! Talk about going the extra mile to make sure your customer is satisfied.

I can't say enough about Mike and his shutters - you will not be disappointed if you choose his company. He maintained contact without me throughout the process and provided an exceptional product at a fraction of the price compared to other local suppliers.
