BKDP was delayed for every element (except our milestone payments!), and their definition of quality was nowhere near what was expected. Cost overruns for every element. Workmanship was not great. Every element had to be re-done at least 1x - we have a crooked bannister on our stairs, we had to redo expensive stone work, we finished our bathroom ourselves, and our beautiful front door was very poorly installed and has been repaired three times in just a couple years. we noted all of these things when they were still on the job, and they refused to address any of them. they were about 4 months long, and every finishing element had to be debated..when they suggested ikea and restoration hardware for bathroom fixtures and hardware, we knew we had a big problem...our expectations were for better than this. We fired them before they finished. ken and fardid are nice guys...maybe too nice...and very passive. they would listen politely, and offered very diplomatic excuses for poor quality products, delays, or shoddy installation work. but in the end, they did not get the job done as promised and paid for. i would be very careful with this company and make sure that absolutely everything is written down. my guess is that they are young, lack solid professional experience to draw upon, and that they are simply too nice to get the quality needed from their sub's.
