Potlight Installation

I called many other companies. I compared prices & products and at the end I made up my mind by selecting Alex from Mapleleaf Electric. The one thing that made me decide to choose Alex out of everybody else was his vast knowledge and information about lighting and not just an expert of pot light installation. As being a detail oriented person (I am a professional electrical engineer), it took me a long time to shop around and ask the most important questions before hiring the right electrician. My major concern was prices vs. product. I found some companies charge the unbelievable price of $140 (my home builder charges $250 each). Most electricians charge $80, some $70 and even an unbeatable price of $65. That got me confused, and at the same time raised my awareness. The huge price difference allowed me to ask all companies what kind of pot lights they provided and where they get them from. Alex explained to me in details why a huge price difference and it all made sense to me. He was very thorough.

You get what you pay for. Alex and his crew installed 80 low voltage pot lights Contrast lighting brand (Canadian company) all controlled by a low voltage magnetic dimmers. 46 pot lights in the main floor and the rest in the upper floor.

Even if you have to spend more money for the finest quality pot light brand, at the end it saves you money and gives you peace of mind. Thanks Alex and his team for doing an amazing masterpiece job.

potlight installation

Alex and 3 other electricians installed over 100 pot lights throughout my house. 62 were installed in the main floor. This team makes any impossible job possible. Just the fact of installing this amount of pot lights, switches and separate lines without touching any of my home builder circuits is amazing, and NOT a single hole or drywall was cut or damaged as he promised. I said to him: "Alex, you're a magician". I was wondering how anybody can do such an impressive job like that; I just didn't believe it until I saw it. It took a lot of preparation and skillful thought for a job done right. They drilled with a long flexible drill bit and fished wires through walls and ceiling joists. They even used a funky small video camera with a light that is attached to a long adjustable cable used to check before drilling to avoid any obstacle such as: water pipe, vents, lives wires, etc,. Inspection from ESA was passed & even the inspector was shocked at the fact that so many pot lights were installed without any damage in walls & ceilings. Thanks Alex & his crew for this impeccable job. Thank you again for treating my house like your house.

Inside and outside potlight

Forget about the best business attitude out of these two friendly electritions on the planet only (working outside in negative degree condition with a smile). Their professional advices, exceptional experience along with the best price in toronto, what else can you ask for when you do not want to pay 200+ per potlight from your home builder??? Alex is not just a businessman, he is also gonna be on HGTV!!! is he gonna be a star in his electric industry??? well, as a customer myself, I hope his price will stay this low and hire him for more potlights work when my family get the extra money... people trust me, the day u see ALex is the day U love your house even more.

Potlight installation

My real estate agent referred me to Alex at MapleLeaf Electric, and I am so glad she did. Alex is not one of those shady contractors who try to get as much money as they can out of you. He is a true professional who will tell you up front the price of the job, show up on time, treat you and your home with respect, do an excellent job in a short period of time, and leave no mess behind. Moreover, he will patiently explain what your options are and show you where the lights are going to be installed beforehand so you know exactly what you're paying for. Alex and his team did an amazing job in my small condo and I am simply thrilled with the results. I will definitely call them again if I move. In the meantime I will highly recommend them to my family and friends.

17 Pot lights installed on exterior of house

As a home owner, it is sometimes very difficult to find a trust-worthy and reputable company who will perform a quality job and guarantee their work. When we decided to install exterior pot lights, I didn't know where to start. After sifting through builder contacts, yellow pages, references from other people, and my own inquires by phone, I finally found Alex and Maple Leaf Electric. He answered all my questions over the phone, was very patient, explained the different options (hardware and bulbs), and offered to give me a quote in writing. He also provided his ECRA/ESA license to ensure I was in compliance with my home owners policy. This was more than anyone else provided me over the phone! When his team showed up, they assessed the house, diagrammed the install, confirmed the price, showed us the pot light hardware and timers, and asked us to approve each location before they started cutting. WOW! Its great to be involved in these decisions. They were careful with their ladders on the eves troughs, they vacuumed after finishing in the attic and we received an invoice and a written guarantee. I was extremely happy with their work and professionalism and would highly recommend them. Alex will be back next week to install interior pot lights, kitchen lighting, and receptacles in the basement. Thank-you to Alex and your team for an outstanding job.

Pot Lights & Panel

I google searched Pot light installation and came across Mapleleaf Electric. I was really impressed with the professionalism and quality of the website. I called, left a message and Alex called me back right away. He took his time explaining every little detail regarding pot lights. I was very impressed with his honesty and his patience. I hired him on the spot.
When Alex showed up with his crew he was very courteous. They took off theirs shoes, covered all my floors and furniture with his drop sheet and began to work. What stood out the most with Alex was his organization, politeness, patience and cleanessingness.
After installing all the pot lights there was absolutely no mess to clean up. I was very happy and extremely satisfied with his spectacular service.
One more note. One day I was outside using the power washer and all of the sudden my power went off. I got scared, called Alex. He stopped whatever he was doing and rushed over within minutes and fixed the problem. Then, he recommended to change my fuse panel to breaker panel. This job was done within a couple of days including inspection by ESA.
I would hands down recommend Mapleleaf to everyone I know and don't know. I guarantee you the job will get done with 100% satisfaction.
