David provided the best quote to do my roof, eaves troughs and to stucco my entire house. David agreed to start the roof on June 27, 2015 and the stucco work August 13, 2015. He said he would start the roof right away. A week went by; I called David and he said he would start the roof within a week. One month later on July 23, 2015, David’s guys showed up unannounced and started the roof. Since David was absent at the job, the guys did the top part of the roof, but didn’t do the back of the house or the garage. Yet, David called me the night of July 23, 2015 to say the roof job was completed, and he had to pay over a thousand dollars extra to dump the additional waste for shingles removed from my roof. I agreed to pay David extra to offset his cost for the waste. I then told David the roof is not completed, but he did not know the roof was incomplete and had to go check with his workers. The following day July 24th, David called to say the roofers said they didn’t do the rest of the job because the remaining shingles were in good shape. I then asked David if he wanted me to have 2 color shingles, the new Driftwood brown and the old green. I demanded that David complete the entire roof in the same color. David said he would have the job completed within 24 hours, and that my neighbor also asked him to do their roof. David said not to tell the neighbor the price he charged me, because I got a deal. Twenty four hours passed, then days passed, I called David to ask when the roof will be completed but only received one promise after another. Sunday August 1st, the roof crew returned to complete the roof, left the downspout unattached, which flooded my basement. David then called me Sunday night to request payment, I told him the downspout was left unattached, the water is flooding my property and his people left their ladder on the house. Monday David called again to say he went to the house to reattach the eaves trough and he is ready to be paid. I just paid David $6,500 to complete my roof, but I have another $20,000 that I wanted to pay him to stucco my house and replace my eaves trough. David is soft spoken, seems like a nice guy, but he is absent from the job site and when you tell him the problems, he defends the work saying he’s been in business since 1984. I am sorely disappointed because my life is so busy and now I’m going to have to spend more time finding somebody else to replace my eaves trough and to stucco my house. If you have a lot of time to sit and inspect David’s workers, then David is the guy for you, but if you cannot be there to inspect step by step, you will be disappointed as well.
August 4th - David called back to say he read this review and will work to fix these issues, so standby.
