The team at New Steel Roofers installed a new stone coated steel roof on our home a few weeks ago and the initial results are terrific. We're very pleased with the investment we made and would certainly recommend this company in the future. We were impressed by the Homestars reviews and the price was reasonable. The product is definitely a better quality than most other steel roofs out there and we have noticed a difference immediately, as our house is quieter inside than it was previously with our old asphalt roof. We live in an extreme high wind area in Dundas, which made steel the preferred choice for us. Excellent worksmanship overall, great product and they left our property as clean as can be throughout the 2 week job.

Watching Dan and his team prepare and install our new metal roof was like watching the tailoring of a suit in the care and attention to detail. Very tidy and meticulous in execution. Our property was kept clean and orderly at all times with courteous workmanship throughout. We found New Steel Roofers through their excellent and informative website which was very re-assuring with the thoroughness of it's content. Having moved to West Hamilton four years ago, we didn't realize how much windier it is than south Mississauga and hence asphalt shingles increasingly were being blown off our aging single layer roof onto our lawn, and this also seems to explain why one sees more metal roofs in Hamilton. Had a conventional metal roof over a small house with a cathedral ceiling in Key West many years ago and when it rained, it was
deafening. Hence the selection of a stone coated slate profile to dampen sound for the third floor. Very pleased overall and consider this to be an excellent return on investment. Thank you.

I went with the stone metal roof in Silver Grey by Metstar made down payment May 26 work completed around mid July took them around a week the guys worked very hard. I was very impressed by the sales representative no hard sell straight up and good guidance as to type of roof to purchase along with color. Only real negative was guys often left ropes blocking both entrances and could have cleaned up better after it was all done. The roof looks very sharp in my opinion and true to their word, I can barely hear anything when it rains; meanwhile, my asphalt roofs (too flat for metal) are quite noisy. I’m pleased I got it done because I am along the Avon River lots of sunlight and therefore no longer have to fret about getting a new roof every 8 to 15 years.
My house inspector claimed the venting was not enough; however, Max from New Steel Roofers came in to inspect and I am satisfied everything was done correctly. I believe issue was my house inspector not familiar with new materials used applied to roof for venting. Only other criticism is I thought the guys should have gone in to attic to review. Overall, I am pleased and would recommend this company. They kind of won by default, as Way-Mar gave me impression they may be able to do in fall maybe next year and that was too long for me to wait. Some companies I contacted did not even return my phone call or email.

Great communication, workman very polite and professional. Cleaned up any and all debris. Great follow up following completion, received warranty in the mail within one week of completion. Price was as quoted. Would highly recommend this company, from Max for the quote, Jill in the office and the workman. Able to pay via credit card, and only a small deposit required, payment upon completion of the job.

Effective and efficient the crew completed their task in two days. Max stepped in to corrrect an error from another contractor which in my experience is pretty rare. We look forward to never redoing the roof again! The roof looks wonderful.

There really are only 3 key components in completing any successful project, such as recovering a roof: top quality material, skilled experienced labour, and well-managed customer expectations delivered consistently. From our recent personal experience New Steel Roofers delivered top marks on all 3.
I’ll not repeat all the various glowing comments that many other satisfied customers have given in their top-rated reviews of this company except to strongly suggest that interested readers should carefully check all of them out, as well as those of other roofing contractors, as we initially did here at Homestars and elsewhere.
From the get-go, our roof install requirements and communications were handled in a friendly efficient manner by Jill in the office. In turn, Max Guerra provided excellent project management in ensuring that the roofing material was delivered in a timely manner, that only highly qualified installers were selected for the job, and that the work was progressing well and completed successfully.
We own a detached split level house with a Mansard roof. This is a difficult roof to cover as it sits not just on top of the house but also continues halfway down all of the sides of the house. Several years ago we had a bad experience when another roofing company attempted to re-shingle our house. The original crew did such a bad job that, after considerable pressure, the roofing company was forced to completely remove their top quality shingles and, with a better qualified crew, completely redo the job from scratch and absorb the cost! We were determined not to have history repeat itself and New Steel Roofers didn’t let us down.
Tony and his crew went the extra mile to install our new stone coated steel roof in an expert European attention-to-detail manner. Despite occasional rain delays, in 5 working days the guys removed our old shingles, checked for any water leakage (fortunately none was found), installed waterproof roofing underlay on day #1 (so that no roof leaks occurred during the heavy rainy days that interspersed the work), and then did a great job in installing our new roof. Daily cleanup ensured that our house surroundings were always well maintained. These guys did an excellent job, meeting all our requirements and expectations.
The price, while not low as a simple re-shingle roofing job would have cost, was fair considering the results delivered and the challenge and effort required in expertly doing so.
The bottom line: be prepared to spend a fair price for quality. Anything less in the long run is a waste of money, in my opinion.

Service men were extremely polite and courteous. They were meticulous in making sure that things were left very neat and clean. I love the product. It looks great (not shiny) and it looks like shingles. It is not noisy in the rain like some people think. I will never need to replace my roof. What a great investment. I've had SO many compliments and neighbours wishing they had gone this route for their roofs.
