Centennial Moving

I have never had an experience with a company that I was paying for that has showed such little concern for customer service/satisfaction. IT almost felt like I owed them something for using them as my moving company.

PRICE

I moved from Toronto to Montreal for work. I was quoted $600 for the move wth 30 days free storage. There were hidden fees for the free storage of $150, and in the end my bill was over $1300...I didn't have a bed, mattress or that many boxes, so saying that I underestimated my belongings is no excuse for that. Just be honest from the start and tell me what to expect. Someone I work with also moved with them...he had much more to move and was also quoted $600. Must be their go to number to rope you in.

DELAYS

They told me to find an apartment and give them 2 weeks notice to be sure that my stuff made it on time. I rushed to find an apartment so I can get my things delivered by the time I had to move in (one month after arriving). I gave them two weeks notice and they gave me a range of dates to expect my things of a 5 day period. They said I would get 24 hours notice before they come (never heard of anyone doing this, I had to tell work I was going to let them know last minute if I needed the next morning off).

They emailed me just before I had to leave my temp rental to say that they had mechanical issues with their truck and that I would have to wait up to 10 extra days for my things to arrive. Obviously all I had was a suitcase with my and a mattress I ordered and so would have to go 10 days without any kitchen stuff, chairs, my sheets and blankets and pillows. They said there was nothing they could do (like rent a u-haul) and I would just have to wait. No discounts for this by the way or anything. I ended up spending hundreds of dollars on blankets, pillows, a frying pan, knife, cups and other essentials to get by for the time being.

SMASHED BOXES

When they finally arrived, they began to unload my boxes from the truck (a u-haul they clearly rented anyway). Each and every one of my boxes had been completely smashed up. No explanation or anything. They just casually unloaded them like I wouldn't notice. I finally said something at the end and the guy gave me attitude like it was my fault they destroyed them.

I didn't bother letting these guys know that I am moving back to Toronto (along with my buddy who moved here for work too) and will be needing a moving service again. I will make sure to tell everyone I know not to go near these guys.

I would never recomend them!!! Do not use them!!!!!

I searched a lot to find out a reliable moving company to ship my furniture from Toronto to Calgary. They are professional, fast, polite, respectful, reliable and punctuate. It was a one bedroom apartment load and it took around one hour and a half to pick up with all the blanket wrapping and only half an hour to deliver items. They respond to emails promptly and give updates on the shipment accurately. The whole moving was on time and perfectly managed. I would highly recommend this company.

Centennial have moved from Airdrie AB to Toronto ON and it was really the top company I have ever dealt with, after I  had some terrible experiences in moving with others, and it was a bit difficult for me to trust someone else , but when I choose this company as I got them recommended by one of my friends , I can say that they have done amazing job . Timing, smoothness in moving and transparency of their agents was incredible.
I will definitely recommend in my network.

Booked a long move from Vancouver, BC. Canada, to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I had a lot move, from TV's to boxes.
Communication was effective & service friendly.
Fairly resolved any outstanding issues...

I have made a lot of searches for moving company who can do the move for my daughter from Regina to Toronto and finally i decided to go with Centennial, and it was a great choice, since it was our very first time moving across the country we had no idea of the process, but with centennial i have learned a lot, and i felt so comfortable by leaving my daughter's furniture with them, everything was perfectly packed and picked up. 
Delivery was on time with no delays.
Their agents were very helpful and have made the whole move so easy for us!

Thanks for moving my stuff from Calgary to Scarborough. The rates were terrific, I expected that it would be much higher. But no the price was much cheaper.
Also, the movers were very polite and they took good care of my stuff.
I was very surprised that the delivery was provided much earlier than I thought, and that was very good.

Alex & Jacob were on time, did a perfect job, had all necessary equipment to assist in my move across the country. They needed nothing just instructions. I would recommend them any day and if in future needs be I will hire them again. Head office kept in touch up until the day of the move. Professional movers and their employees really care about their customers.

I moved with Centennial back in August from Saint John, NB to Toronto, ON and to be honest, that was the most pleasant experience that I had with any moving company and trust me, I move a lot!! The movers at both ends were great. I didn't have an apartment ready in Dauphin so had to put my items in a storage and they even helped me with some advises on what would be the best storage to offload the goods to. Before they arrived at the storage, the driver called me about half an hour before and even asked if I'd want a cup of coffee him to bring. I was amazed by their politeness. It's a 5-star moving company. Thank you guys for everything and expect my call in about a year for my next move!
