Home furniture

We had almost 7-8 visits to Ashley store in Brampton selecting our living room, kids room, bedroom and dining furniture. During all our visit we were attended by Mandeep from sales and Raj, store manager, who gave us all the detailed information, spend so much time in assisting to select according to our needs and choices. We experienced a good follow up calls with our order status and delivery. Even though we had some exchange/return we were well taken care by whole team. The quality of products are very good. we bought all our furniture from Ashley for a good reasonable price.
Thanks Mandeep and Raj.

SOFA

Salesman - helpful and not too pushy

Pricing - Found it varies widely, so be on the look-out for promotions

Delivery/Pick-up: They wanted to charge extra for delivery, so we opted for pick-up instead. Did not find they were too organized as they were looking for pieces even though we specified a time we were coming to pick-up our pieces

Furniture and customer care department

I would tell everyone to please avoid and stay away from Ashley furniture. It was worst customer experience of my life. I am a new immigrant and this was literally the first purchase that I made. pathetic customer service. I placed the order in January with delivery to be made on March 30th. The customer care team can be called anything but customer care. I received partial deliveries and had to take 3 extra days off from work in order to get the order completed that too with a delay of 20 days. Customer care was extremely rude. store staff was passing on the blame to HO. No one was willing to help. Wall of one room was damaged because of poor handling of the stuff by delivery staff. I told them I want to return the furniture because of delayed deliveries and bad attitude of the staff I was to told I would have to pay 25% as fee. No I would never recommend Ashley furniture in general and Brampton store in particular

Quality is terrible. Couch bought Aug 12, 2015

Purchased couch August 2015. Delivered in September so weve had it for about 8 months.
First, the pullout bed is horrible, with a bar going across the middle of your back but ok, theyre usually not the most comfortable.....I can live with this.
Second, cushions are faded, the fabric around some of the couch is loose and not stitched properly, the couch looks like its 10 years old.....unacceptable. That is a clear indication the quality is not great. See pictures Ive attached.
Third and last but not least, the wood that holds the couch together, completely separated(we are pretty small people, average size at best. Im 190 lbs). It scratched our wooden floor beneath it, it leaves the left side of couch sagging to the point you cant sit on it right now. It leaves us with only one chair in our family room of 4 people and nothing for me to lay down after a 15 hr work day... So I understand that products can fail from time to time, maybe someone had a bad work day and didnt put the same effort or quality into this item we purchased. No problem, thats the real world but.....but.....but we paid for an extended warranty, now its as though, we should be accepting the fact that not all the problems will be fixed because of the "fine print". So theyre coming to pick the couch up, take it for a minimum of one week to put the wood pieces back together. SO Im out a couch for at least a week. Theyre only fixing the wood piece that separated but what about the rest. We paid for a warranty to protect us, fix or replace, whatever is wrong with the couch and at this point, its all factory defects. Not like any of this was our doing. Theyre going to send it back to us with only one problem fixed. Do not buy the extended warranty, there is no point. Dont accept any furniture deliveries unless the item is perfect because you wont have an easy time dealing with afterwards and honestly, as much as I had pride in my purchase from Ashley for the first few months, even the fact that I had gone to Ashleys, thinking Im treating my family to a quality furniture provider.....No. I have this piece of garbage that I will likely put on the curb the next garbage day we have where they take everything.

Bedroom Suite

We purchased a bedroom suite from Ashley Furniture in April/13.
One week later, we had a minor issue with one of the drawers on the tall dresser . I called Ashley's and they sent out the technician within 2 days. Honest. Upon his arrival, he was quick to fix the drawer. It needed a minor adjustment to close properly. After about 2 days, we noticed another minor defect on the headboard and again the technician was out within 2 days. He put an order in for a new one. The new headboard was delivered in about 2 weeks. He, the technician (I wish I could remember his name because he was very polite and nice and he is their only technician for Mississauga) even came out a 3rd time when a sock got stuck behind my drawer and I couldn't get at it.
Honestly, we've experienced very good service with Ashley Furniture. I read bad reviews and I am surprised.
I was give them a chance.
Their furniture is stylish, modern but certainly not solid wood but what is these days.
The company describes the quality of the wood as wood products. I do find this vague but I know our suite is not particle board .The top middle drawer on the ladies dresser is lined with velvet, which is a nice touch.
I hope this was helpful.....and thanks Ashley and your nice technician.

Furniture Purchase

Good experience buying a dinning room set at Ashely's. We were able to get 2 adidtional chairs free in the 6 piece set we purchased, as well as 20% off the entire purchase. When one of the chairs broke within the first 2 weeks, we brought it back and they ordered us a new one. No questions asked. Only thing was we had to go pick it up again.

Family room furnishings!

furniture store is not the kind of place, where I will find myself in. However, purchasing a new house, changed the perspective. Now I have fun at La-Z-Boy and Ashleys of the world.
Ashley furniture, is a mid range store, which offers choices galore on all living, family, bedroom furnishings and has most price levels. We purchased a micro fiber sofa, loveseat, set and setus back by 2000$. It is a good product made by Ashley and has extra warranty. Would recommend Ashley for your furniture buying trip.
Wait for their F&F deals, where they offer sizeable discount 20%+. Prices as I saw were competitive (after the discounts!).

sofa, chest

I had to wait over a month for my order to be delivered. To cancel an order of an inexpensive side table with notice because it didn't fit in the intended space I was still charged a $35.00 cancellation fee. Scotchguarding for the sofa was much more expensive than other stores and no proof (i.e. no certification/paperwork) that the work was done. The accounting customer service staff were rude. Salesperson at Mississauga store was however very pleasant.
