Working with Yuri was a pleasure. He was detailed and organized throughout the entire process. From the first phone call to our final details, he was professional, courteous, and punctual. Yuri conducted an inspection for our home and gave us very helpful feedback on the main issues that should be addressed and how to deal with them. This was a second home inspection conducted by Yuri for us. The first time we had a Premium inspection with thermal imager. That inspection revealed lots of defects that could not be seen otherwise. I saw Yuri's status on HomeStars and decided that he must be good at what he does. I called him, and he was very professional. He stayed on the line for upwards of 30 minutes to answer my questions, and to explain the services and requirements very well.

During a second set-up phone call, he gave me information about services that he COULD offer, but would not suggest, due to their timelines and high cost. This made me feel like he really was working for ME, rather than for increased profits.

During the home inspection, he went over every point that he discovered, and stopped often to answer any question I had. He never seemed rushed, and genuinely wanted me to understand. He even had a sense of humor about everything. His inspection lasted for the better part of 6 hours.

His report is upwards of 60 pages, with photos for reminders of each point. He just called me to follow up with the recommendations that he had made, and to find out about the home purchase. With the home inspection came a guarantee, and a 1-year registration to a home owners assistance website.

It was my first experience with home inspection and all that I can say is "WOW". I never thought that home inspection can be so much time consuming. But Yuri was very thorough and detailed. The inspection took almost four hours, and he gave us a narrative report with digital pictures and many-many recommendations. Yuri did not leave anything out of his sight. He explained to us what he was doing, showed how he saw the things and what did he see, and at the same time made notes in his tablet PC and took photos. The worries about the home and the defects were eased off by Yuri's thorough work. He also gave us 90 days warranty for his service which was an added benefit. I have to say that Yuri Olhovsky, the owner and principal inspector of this company, is a very knowledgeable and experienced inspector. His inspection was precisely to the point. It revealed every significant deficiency and provided recommendations on their remediation. The items that looked "normal" to untrained eye were seen differently by an expert. Yuri has so much training in building science that his explanations immediately became clear and understandable. His report was one of the best I had ever seen: lots of pictures and diagrams, explanations, recommendations and advice. Certified Master Inspector and owner of Home Inspections 4U Yuri Olhovsky was a true Professional. I learned a lot from him during the actual home inspection itself, that I never had knowledge of. Those include realizing deficiencies as small as they are, right in front of my eyes, that I usually missed or have ignored before. Yuri inspected all the systems and components of the house in utmost detail. We received the Home Inspection Report very promptly. The report was very detailed with all the observations thoroughly included, together with the recommended service actions. Deficiencies were highlighted in colors distinguishing major from minor ones. This helped us a lot to quickly pinpoint those that require future immediate action. Actual photos of components that were inspected were included. Again, this is a big plus since it serves as a guide for us in going back and review items that needs to be fixed. Also, a recall check was performed for all appliances i.e. air conditioning, water heater, fridge, etc. and we received the report for that. Fortunately, none of the appliances require a recall. All in all, I was very happy with the home inspection. The quality was superb and Yuri was a gentleman and very friendly. I would recommend him to anyone, anytime. We are very much satisfied with the home inspection done by Yuri. He really took the time to go through all the different features in the house, from the basement to the attic, and to explain to us all sorts of current and potential issues and ways to address them as we followed him around. His electronic report was also superb, with very detailed explanations and photographs, and I plan on keeping it around for quite a while as I fix the problems he located over the months (or years) to come.
