Last year I called in Go Pest Control for mice then carpenter ants but wasn't satisfied with their work at all. We continued to get mice in our garage and the ants started up again this spring. I decided to go with Paramount this year because of the good reviews online. I was impressed within the first few minutes of meeting. Tony was able to point out where the "ant hot spots" were just with a quick walk around our home. After I told him the history of the problem, he was very kind and took his time explaining what I could do to better seal my home and what he would do to eliminate the pests. He also took his time in the treatment of our home for carpenter ants and mice. I am confident that our pest problem is now under control with the experts of Paramount Pest Control.

We called Paramount when we discovered that we had more than just a small amount of carpenter ants showing up inside the house. We were immediately impressed with Dave's knowledge of these creatures, and his thoroughness when he and Tony came and spent a very long time dealing with the problem, explaining to us what we needed to do to prevent future invasions, looking in every corner of our house to make sure they had eliminated any problem areas, and helping us to plan for the future! We were quite panicked about it and Dave went out of his way in a very busy week to take care of us, and for a reasonable price too. Paramount is one in a million, and a tribute to the pest control industry!

I recommend this company for those who need real and honest help. The service is amazing. They are very professional. I have 4 kids and I found bed bugs and I was like crazy, simply they came and fixed everything and left me with a big smile on my face and this is their aim. Even prices are the best by comparison. WOW what an amazing service I received from Dave. I had hired another company in Ottawa to get rid of my bed bug problem. After 2 sprays it was like they hadn't even been touched. (as well as $850 and them not wanting to return) I knew I needed to find someone who really knew what they were doing. I made a few phone calls to different pest control places and after speaking with Dave I knew he was the one I needed to get. When they say you get what you pay for, you truly do. Yes Dave is more money then the others, but in the end he is the go to pest control person. He stayed with me and my situation until it was cleared up, even speaking with tenants about the do's and do not's. It was a pleasant and professional experience all the way around. I HIGHLY recommend using this company for all your needs.

David takes care of your home like his own.

We heard some animal chewing the wood in the attic just before Christmas. Call David for the 1st time and he suggested we put some mouse traps and check a few weeks later. He also gave us a lot of information over the phone without charge.

So we bought some mouse traps and put on in the attic. Then there was no noise anymore until about a month later. The chewing noise came back. Then I went to the attic and found a dead mouse killed by the trap!

I figured I should call professionals to resolve the problem since we have a 4 month old baby. Called David and he came this afternoon. He was extremely informational and pointed me all the places that could let mice in. He put the commercial poison in the attic, basement, and the garage. He gave me videos he recorded in the attic to show the mice trail and droppings.

I really appreciate two extra things David did:
1. He told me that my roof may have issues as he noticed some wet area in the attic.
2. He helped me seal the pipes at the side of the house properly to prevent mice from entering through the small holes, free of extra charge.

Overall I highly recommend David for his professional and he responsibility. I feel he fixes my house as if it was his own!

Paramount was great and really fixed the problem. Here's the story:

It was mid day on a Sunday when I called Paramount. Dave answered the phone and listened to my story:

My wife saw a mouse and was freaking out. The kids were a bit scared and the cat was meowing and pacing.

A few hours later Dave was at my house talking to both my wife and I. Dave's use of humour is reassuring and did a lot to calm my family down. Furthermore he really listened to our questions and waited until we finished talking before providing a thorough answer.

As we would expect Dave set traps in the kitchen and our basement ceiling. It was impressive when he asked to see the rest of our basement and took a close look at the insulation where he identified mouse "paths". Then he set traps that only a licensed professional can use.

We thought Dave was done when he looked at the basement. Nope, he went up in our attic and set more traps that only a licensed professional can set. Then he went to the garage and did the same thing.

Finally he sealed the mice entry where the AC line comes into the house. Only then did he consider his job finished.

Dave's a real pro and great at customer service.

We are extremely happy with Paramount Pest Control's service! We started to see some mice droppings recently and decided to go with professionals coz we have a 5-month baby and we wanted to get rid of this issue ASAP. I sent email late on Boxing Day and wasn't expecting Dave to give me a call in the same day but he did! He then showed up at 245pm yesterday and took a close examination from interior and exterior. He looked everywhere in the house and also surroundings of the house and eventually found a huge hold under siding which seems was left there by the builders when this house was built! He filled out the hole and even went to HD to get more silicon to make it unbreakable for animals which is way beyond a standard pest control procedure! After this, he took me for a tour again in the basement and setup traps and he again with his detective intuition, found a slow water leaking of my kitchen drain pipe! He helped putting a pan to stop dripping. To me, he is more like a house detective and took care of my house as is his own! He spent almost 4 hours in the house just to confirm he didn't miss any details. I have reviewed many contractors in Ottawa area and I am very picky when giving starts but Dave surely deserve this 5-star rating! I will also post on Home Star my review.

My daughter arrived from Toronto just having found out she has bed bugs in her home. She had visited only weeks before too... When she got up in the morning she felt she had new bites and was concerned she had brought the bugs with her...
We tore the beds apart and on the baseboard found a few live bugs along with some carcasses...
I was terrified we now have them too... I called Dave after researching some of the pest control companies in Ottawa and feeling he was the best for the job.

He definitely was!! Today he took the time to tell me how to check my own beds and diagnosed my pest problem through pictures as carpet beetles.
This man took the time after hours to personally help my family to diagnose and offer advice to get rid of these pests.
Not many people go out of their way to provide service to this level. I was glad I did my research and contacted Dave!

Dave Saunders from Paramount Pest control responded promptly to my call and was able to give me an appointment very quickly. I had noticed a large number of what I thought may be bees, entering the attic of our house, at the edge of the roof. I mentioned we could hear them inside my son's bedroom which is just below the area where the 'bees' were entering the attic of our home. We thought we had a small leak in our roof over that same area, as the ceiling drywall in an area of our son's room was quite soft. Dave believed it was likely a nest of German Yellow Jacket wasps, and they were eating through the drywall. He was right on the money. As he had suspected, the wasps had nested between the ceiling of my son's room and the attic insulation. The nest was huge!! He estimated there were likely 3000 wasps in it and if we hadn't called when we did, the wasps could have broken through what remained of the drywall, in a very short amount of time, with potentially very serious consequences. Dave not only dealt with the problem professionally,
he was more than willing to explain what he was doing and why. He knows what he's talking about, and is the most friendly guy on top of it all. I won't hesitate to recommend Dave and
Paramount Pest Control to anyone.
