Verdun Windows And Doors

Verdun provided excellent service while replacing most of the windows and all of the doors in my 1950s bungalow. They were very easy to deal with by email, and responded to my questions very quickly. The end results are gorgeous and my neighbours have all been complimenting me on the work. The installation was complete in less than 5 hours, and my house and property were cleaned/vacuumed before they left. I will definitely recommend Verdun to friends who are looking to replace windows and doors.

I live in a townhouse where the dining room window is huge and extends far down near level with the yard. My folks had previous experience with Norkik windowns and Verdun going back 20 years. A positive experience.

The window that was changed is 101 inches high and 78 inches wide. Its a big job made more difficult because there is a stairway to go downstairs right by the window. Don't try this with your eyes closed!

Three Verdun employees showed up early in the morning and worked well as a team. It took them about 3 hours in total. It was quite the job when you think about it. They had to get setup; remove the old window; prep the surface for the new window. The installation of the window went well, and then there was the work of insulation (foam) and finally the finishing trim. The window seems like a high quality unit (expected), and much better than the original window that came with the house (expected). The most impressive part of the installation was the finishing. It took them 1 hour alone with one person working inside (for the mouldings) and two people working outside (for the flashing and all) to complete this part of the work. They had the proper tools and know-how to do the job right and they took the time needed to ensure it was well done.

Conclusion: the window looks great and is a quality window that should provide me years of good service (expected). But the fact that a quality window is provided by quality installers with an attention to detail is a great benefit to a job well done (surprize).

Being a difficult install, I do have a bit of sanding and painting to do (minor), but this is merely a detail in an otherwise job well done.

We ordered 17 windows (entire house excluding basement) and had them installed by Alex and his team in under 8 hours. The service team was couteous/knowledgable and cleaned up afterwards including cleaning the windows. You would not have know they were here afterwards. The windows are awesome and we would highly recommend Verdun to anyone who asks us about our beautiful windows.

We had Verdun replace all windows (14 in total) on our home built in the late 1950s and install a patio door in our dining room (where a window previously existed). Our initial meeting with their sales representative Colin was informative and straight forward. We met with six other companies from the Ottawa area. I really appreciated his frankness, honesty and ability to produce a quote on the spot (which was below all other quotes received and which did not increase as changes were made). He was particularly accomodating when we made some last minute changes to the grill style (thanks again Colin!).

The installation team was well organized, professional, tidy and very quick. They arrived at our home at 6:30 a.m, went straight to work,and was able to complete the job by the end of the day. There were minor challenges along the way (always the case it seems when renovating older homes). I was glad to see that they did not try to cut corners when dealing with these challenges. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with their work.

A couple of years ago we had a patio door replaced by Verdun Windows and Doors. We were very impressed by their prices and very pleased with the quality of the installation. When we decided to recently replace our front and back doors, we again did some research and again went back to Verdun as we found the pricing to be very good and already had experienced the quality of the workmanship from the previous installation. I am happy to say the doors were installed quickly and efficiently, look great and again the installation seems to be of high quality. When it comes time to replace windows, Verdun will be at the top of the list to provide the required materials and installation

Windows were installed as scheduled on the date and time specified. Staff were knowledgeable, carried out work efficiently and tidied up to the point that there was minimal cleaning for me to do. I feel I got good quality windows for my money and can now do without my roller blinds, which I had purchased some time ago to help keep the sun and cold out. Not only are the windows a great improvement to the look of my home, but are easy for me to open and clean without having to bother someone to come and do it for me. Great windows, great staff and a job well done!

Sales person Colin was very knowledgable and was able to identify potential issues and arrive at creative solutions. He was honest and helpful which is why I went with this company. Installation team Enzo and Matt were outstanding...efficient, professional and incredibly neat. I would not have believed a two person team could do the work they did...just outstanding. The company sent in a service team to finsih the last touches in a timely manner. I had quotes that were lower but I would most definitely use Verdun again and would recommend them highly....as the old adage goes, you get what you pay for!

On June 5, 2012, the Verdun Doors & Windows installation crew consisting of Mathieu, Jack and Nick arrived promptly in the morning to replace my living room and dining room windows. With smiles all around and after introductions were made, the boys got to work. And what a job they did! The old windows were removed quickly and the two new windows installed quickly yet methodically. These guys were experts and it showed. In less than three hours the job was done. They cleaned up what little mess they had made and were then on their way. Oh, and did I mention that they even washed the outside part of the windows? Now that's service. The windows look great and are just what we wanted. Will be replacing more windows next year and again Verdun will be getting the call. Well done guys!

First of all, our initial dealings with Steve Young were very impressive. He's a very professional and personable person to deal with. He was able to help my wife and I decide about different window solutions and styles in a very clear and concise manner. Verdun was one of 4 different companies we went to and he was, by far the best. He showed us what Verdun could provide and didn't pressure us in any way. The other 3 companies were very pushy and didn't listen to what we wanted.

Secondly, the installation team led by Alex were very diligent, polite, extremely fast and extremely clean!!! I never would've thought that my entire order would have been installed in one day and when they left there was no sign that they were ever even here except for the new, beautiful windows. Very impressive!!!!

I will not hesitate to recommend Steve Young and Verdun Windows to anyone who is in the market.

I am writing to express my appreciation for the excellent product and services provided by your company in our home. The project involved the replacement installation of all the windows in my home; 18 casement windows and 4 basement sliding windows. Three guys showed up early in the morning, immediately went to work and were finished by 4:00pm the same day. They were efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable about the work they did. They cleaned up the work site, took away all of the old windows, added exterior trim, insulated and caulked inside and out , and cleaned all windows inside and out before leaving. It was clear to me that they took great care in doing excellent work.Based on the work skills and personal attributes of your team, as well as the quality of your product, I would recommend Verdun Windows and Doors to our friends and neighbours.
