We hired Insultech to add insulation in the attic of our 50+ year old home and to add some spray foam in our basement. We experienced excellent, professional and courteous service, starting with the Estimator and this service continued with the installers. I highly recommend their services.

I recently replaced all of the original pink fibreglass insulation in my basement, as it had become moldy. I consulted the HomeStars Ottawa Web site in order to find a highly-rated, trustworthy company to carry out the work. The obvious choice was Insultech Insulation Specialists Inc. The work was
carried out to my satisfaction by two polite and diligent installers, and double-checked by a subsequent review prior to payment. As many other Ottawa customers have done, I would readily recommend Insultech to anyone seeking a reliable, efficient and affordable insulation contractor. Their work is first-class.

They didn't have a great day....ran late, had equipment issues, could've cleaned up better, scratched our floors, and left some cracks in the ceiling.
But we all have bad days. Their customer service (Michelle) and willingness to accept responsibility was astonishing. They went over and above what was necessary to make us happy. They succeeded, so much so that we asked to them do another job for us.

These guys are top notch. Insultech did an excellent job getting my attic properly ventilated and up to R50. They were on time, knowledgeable, and knew their stuff. I would recommend them to anyone.

We decided in the Fall of 2012 to add more insulation to the attic of our 45 year old home in Kanata, ON. We invited 3 quotes and finally decided to engage Insultech to do the job. The work was done professionally much to our satisfaction.

In January of this year, 2013, there was a freeze-and-thaw cycle. We found that we had a leakage from our roof, leaving water marks on the ceilings and water on the floor. We tried hard to find out the cause and consulted with some experts. It was determined that the leak was a result of ice damming, and not due to roof damages as the roof was overhauled not long ago, and that this ice damming was most likely caused by reduced ventilation resulting from the added insulation. Indeed, the leakage had never happened before we added the insulation. We then contacted Insultech about the problem. The company promptly sent someone to inspect the problem, determined that more rafter baffles needed to be installed to improve the ventilation, and followed up shortly with doing this work. We were pleased that this was done without us having to argue about who’s responsibility it was, and that the company did not charge us for this additional work. Our primary contact at the company, Mathew, was courteous and responsive to our requests , and the people who came to do the work were friendly and worked professionally. It was a pleasant experience to deal with Insultech.

Overall, we were very satisfied with and impressed by both the installation and the after-sale services of ths company. We would recommend the company to others without hesitation.

My husband and I hired Insultech to install expanding foam insulation in our 1948 home. Insultech was very professional and dependable. The representative who first came to the home was very trustworthy and knowledgeable. Insultech drilled 450 small holes throughout the house and blew in expanding foam insulation. Although they were friendly, fast and efficient the only problem was that I don't feel that I was properly warned at how much dust would result from the work. They cleaned up pretty well but there was a thin layer of dust everywhere from drilling into plaster walls that I wasn't expecting. Other than that we were very happy with Insultech.
