My neighbours were selling their house and in the process of the home inspection for the purchasers a foundation crack was noted. We found a similar crack in our foundation and it appears that it is not unusual in our area. I called OSRS and received a very quick turn around time for a visit. They did a thorough job of inspecting not only the crack we noted, but other similar ones we found. In the end the crack was in the foundation to the garage. The quote they provided was accurate and the work done was professional in all regards. I am very pleased with the results and the ten year warranty they provide. Highly recommend OSRS

After being abandoned by Mr. Foundation with one and a half sides of the house knocked out, OSRS came to the rescue!
They secured the house so it was ok over the winter and I always felt safe and respected. When the pipes froze on NYEve, they came in to fix it.

What began as a stressful situation, namely finding a small leak in our basement foundation, ended on an extremely positive note after dealing with Ottawa Structural Residential Services. Indeed, the General Manager, Michael O'Neil, was prompt to respond to our call, was extremely clear as to what was recommended to address the problem during the initial site visit and had a team on the ground promptly. As noteworthy as Mr. O'Neil's response was the crew who carried out the work - their professionalism, hard work, orderly and systematic approach went a long way in easing what is an inherently stressful situation. Their attention to detail also carried forward to their clean-up of the site that left the area better looking than when work began.

We discovered a crack (or a seam from the pouring of the foundation by the builder), when we were having the foundation re-parged by another company. The work provided by OSRS was professional and the price did not shift upwards if they discovered more to be done. They obtained the necessary clearances from hydro, gas, etc which means that they are responsible if something happens. They dug down by hand to the footings, within 1 foot of gas and watering system controls, all within the time specified, and without incident. The team removed the dirt and provided new material to fill the hole. They also left us some mulch to replace the landscaping which had to be removed, which we will replace in the spring as the work was done in late November. They provided a written guarantee for 10 years. We did not have any water in the basement prior to discovering this crack, and do not expect to see any afterwards. We do expect to see less spiders making a home in the crack. Thanks. Well done. We would recommend to anyone.

I was referred to Ottawa Structural Residential Services by my realtor to help address a vertical crack in my homes foundation. We had minor water penetration, but obviously it needed immediate attention. Ron from OSRS showed up as scheduled and on time, and had the crack injected and the job done in about an hour. End of the leaking! Ron was very professional, took time to explain the process, and was very neat and tidy. The injection repair process is very impressive and makes for an efficient and low cost repair. Very pleased with the work and result.

I want to acknowledge the professionalism and quality of work that was performed by Ottawa Structural Residential Services on our foundation replacement and waterproofing. The job was significant in scope and duration, involving many subcontractors, and throughout the process the crew and staff were superb in their work, management of the project, accommodation of our requests and concerns and courtesy towards our family and neighbours. The end result was a new (and dry!) foundation. We truly appreciate the team at OSRS, and the quality job they performed.

OSR did something that most companies don't seem to do these days. They called to say they were coming, they arrived when they said they would and completed the work in a courteous and professional manner, kept me informed of the progress and cleaned up after themselves. Would highly recommend this company.

My husband and I called Ottawa Structures to assist us with a damp spot that was where the wall and floor met in our basement. It was about 8-12 inches long and damp, but no water coming from it. We were selling our house and needed it fixed properly, professionally and quickly. We had at least 4 estimates that were pretty similar but we were really comfortable with Mike, who came to do our estimate. He was very knowledgeable, reassuring and most of all able to fit us in pretty quickly for this job. If we had any questions we spoke to Mike or Jen at Ottawa Structures, who got our locates done in good time and the job finished before the estimated completion time. We were very happy with job, the staff and appreciated how careful they were about the job and left my property in better shape than before the digging began. They were able to identify the problem (which was a puzzle) fixed it, waterproofed it and the damp spot disappeared and never came back. We sold our house 4 weeks later and provided the new owners with the transferable warranty. I had a major leak in the basement that insurance wouldn't cover. The person who answered the phone at Ottawa Structural wasn't a receptionist but a structural engineer who worked around the clock and kept me up to date on the process of the work done at my house. She was super knowledgeable about leaks and structural problems. She even went and inspected sites regularly. The work was finished and work site cleaned up in a few weeks despite having to dig up three locations to find the blockage in the weeping tiles. It was expensive but worth the money. Their work is guaranteed for 10 years (at least what they worked on at my place). My leak was caused by the large amount of water from melting snow (we had a lto of snow in 2013/14 winter). Many homes on my street were affected but Ottawa Structural was quick to act and at my house within a day or two. They also arranged all of the necessary locates for cable and other cables. I would use them again but I hope never to have to!!
